Project manager, Tool development

Not your typical job ad. Not your typical job.

Arcto is building the next generation of renewable energy projects across Finland and Sweden—wind, solar, and battery storage—and we believe the teams that will succeed in this decade will be the ones that build their own tools, rather than just buying them off the shelf.

That's where you come in.

Were looking for someone sharp, curious, and a little bit obsessed with making things work better—to lead the development and rollout of AI-powered tools across our project pipeline. Think contract analysis, land and permitting workflows, market intelligence, and deal screening. Youll be working across our entire group of companies—Arcto.fi, Tuulikarhu.fi, and Aurinkokarhu.fi—gaining exposure to the full scope of how we develop and execute renewable energy projects. You wont just manage a project plan—youll be rolling up your sleeves, building things, testing things, breaking things, and making them better.

This isnt a 5 years of experience required job posting. Weve hired plenty of people who meet all the criteria. This time, were looking for someone who doesnt quite meet them yet—but who has the intelligence, drive, and creative instinct to grow into one of the most interesting roles in our company. A recent graduate with the right mindset will always come out on top over a run-of-the-mill resume.

You probably have an academic degree —perhaps in:

• Energy or Environmental Engineering

• Electrical Engineering

• Business law or law

• Land Surveying

• Business, economics, or a related field

But what matters more than your degree is how you think—and how you work with others. Were looking for both IQ and EQ: someone smart enough to build the tools, and personable enough that the rest of the team actually wants to use them.

What were looking for:

• A genuine curiosity about AI and how it can transform the way renewable energy projects are built

• A builders mindset — comfortable with experimenting, prototyping, and iterating

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal skills — youll be working closely with colleagues from a wide variety of disciplines

• The drive to take ownership of a brand-new role and shape it yourself

• Good Swedish and excellent English (Finnish is a strong plus)

What youll get:

• A front-row seat to how AI is actually being applied in renewable energy development—not theory, but real projects

• Direct mentorship from the founding team

• Real autonomy and real responsibility, fast

• A smart, ambitious, profitable, fast-growing company based in Vaasa, working across the Nordic energy transition

If youve read this far and felt something—thats the sign.

To apply: Send your resume along with a short list of a few AI-based projects youve worked on (these could be from your studies, thesis, hobby projects, or work) — briefly describing the goal, the method you used, and the result. Were far more interested in this than in a polished cover letter.
