Key Account Manager
$100,000 - $120,000 + Super + Uncapped Commission
Are you someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships just as much as solving technical challenges?
We're partnering with a well-established Australian technology solutions provider that is looking to add a Key Account Manager to its growing commercial team. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently engage customers from both a commercial and technical perspective, helping them identify the right IT solutions while driving long-term account growth.
Whether you've worked for a technology vendor, distributor, reseller or systems integrator, this is an opportunity to step into a role where your technical knowledge and sales capability are equally valued.
The Role
Working with an established customer base, you'll develop trusted relationships, identify new opportunities and collaborate with internal technical and sales teams to deliver the right solutions for your clients.
This is a consultative position where you'll be expected to understand customer environments, recommend appropriate technologies and manage opportunities through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
-
Build and grow relationships across an existing portfolio of commercial customers.
-
Identify new opportunities within existing accounts while developing new business opportunities where appropriate.
-
Engage customers to understand their business and technical requirements.
-
Recommend suitable infrastructure, networking and end-user computing solutions.
-
Prepare quotations and proposals while working closely with internal technical teams.
-
Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to successful delivery.
-
Maintain accurate CRM records and manage your sales pipeline.
-
Deliver an exceptional customer experience through proactive account management.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines commercial awareness with genuine technical credibility.
You may come from a background with a technology vendor, distributor or reseller such as HP, Dell Technologies, Cisco, Juniper Networks, Lenovo, HPE, Aruba, Fortinet, VMware, Microsoft, NetApp or similar.
You'll ideally bring:
-
Experience in account management, technical sales or solution sales.
-
Strong understanding of datacentre hardware, with depth in at least one of servers, storage or networking.
-
The ability to translate technical concepts into commercial outcomes for customers.
-
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
-
A proactive, organised and customer-focused approach.
-
Experience preparing quotes, managing opportunities and working towards sales targets.
What's on Offer
-
$100,000 - $120,000 base salary plus super.
-
Uncapped commission structure.
-
Join a respected and growing technology business with an excellent reputation.
-
Work alongside experienced technical specialists and sales professionals.
-
Genuine career progression opportunities.
-
Based in Macquarie Park, with full-time office attendance for the first six months and the potential for one day per week working from home during months seven to twelve.
-
Supportive team culture with ongoing training and development.
If you're looking for a role where your technical expertise is valued just as highly as your ability to build relationships and grow accounts, we'd love to hear from you.
