Applications Engineer at Arm in Budapest supporting global customers on Arm CPU & System IP: investigating issues with RTL simulations, mentoring partners on IP integration and performance, delivering onsite/remote technical training, reviewing customer SoC builds, and building knowledge-base articles and internal tooling.
- Technical assistance and training to customers globally
- Mentoring partners on IP integration, configuration, and performance
- Investigating issues and finding solutions through RTL simulations
- Communicating technical results clearly
- Analyzing customer requests and issues
- Providing solutions to help customers progress
- Offering quick and accurate replies to partner questions related to Arm CPU & System IP
- Preparing and facilitating technical training workshops on CPU & System IP, delivered onsite and remotely
- Performing customer SoC build reviews using ARM IP
- Providing functionality and optimization recommendations
- Working with Arm IP build and product management teams to improve partners' experience and influence IP feature development
- Testing IP deliverables and providing feedback to the build team prior to release to customers
- Building and modifying web-based knowledge base articles and application notes
- Developing tools and techniques to aid Application Engineers solve problems more efficiently
- BSc Degree or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering (ECE) or equivalent experience
- Excellent understanding of HDLs such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
- Very good knowledge of CPU architecture principles and SoC build principles
- Ability to use RTL simulation tools for debugging purposes
- Proficiency with Questasim, Verdi, Cadence Simvision, and Xcelium
- Capacity to collaborate with distributed teams
- Knowledge of one or more AMBA bus protocols
- Knowledge of the Arm Architecture
- Knowledge of System Coherency concepts
- Knowledge of PCIe, CXL, and/or UCIe specifications
