About the Role

At Highshine, we don't see our website as a digital brochure; we see it as a growth engine. We're looking for a Web Developer who can combine technical skills, analytical thinking, user experience understanding, and marketing collaboration to continuously improve our websites and turn visitors into customers.

This is a hybrid role, roughly 60% hands-on development (React.js, Laravel, MySQL) and 40% growth, optimisation, and marketing collaboration. You'll be the person responsible for ensuring our websites are fast, effective, measurable, and constantly evolving, building websites, optimising user journeys, running experiments, improving conversion rates, integrating tools, and owning a business-critical digital asset.

You'll report directly to the leadership team and have full deployment authority for day-to-day changes, with major initiatives reviewed jointly with marketing and leadership before rollout.

Key Responsibilities

1) Website Development & Maintenance

Design, build, and maintain company websites across India and Europe using React.js, Laravel, and MySQL, including API integrations, feature builds, and bug fixes. Ensure website reliability, security, hosting, backups, and performance, coordinating with external agencies when required.

2) Website Growth & Optimisation

Own website performance, UX, and conversion rates end-to-end, with a focus on improving conversion rates and reducing page load times; analyse user behaviour and monitor outcomes to identify growth opportunities.

3) Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)

Run A/B tests and growth experiments on landing pages, forms, CTAs, and user journeys, and implement winning variations in partnership with leadership and marketing.

4) Marketing Technology & Integrations

Configure and maintain tools like Hotjar, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and CRM/marketing automation platforms, ensuring leads are tracked and routed correctly.

5) SEO & Website Visibility

Implement technical SEO and Core Web Vitals improvements, including multi-region optimisation for European markets, supporting marketing on on-page SEO for organic growth.

6) International Website Management

Manage regional websites, domains, and localisation across geographies while maintaining brand consistency.

7) Product Ownership

Gather and convert requirements from leadership, sales, and marketing into prioritised initiatives, validating solutions pre- and post-launch.

8) Web Design

Design website visuals, banners, and layout elements, along with posters and creatives for campaigns, events, and marketing collateral, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines. Should be familiar with Figma, Canva, or other relevant tools.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have

• 2-4 years of experience in website development, web operations, growth engineering, or digital product management (1-2 years considered for an Associate track).
• Strong hands-on experience with the following tech stack: Frontend - React.js, Backend - Laravel, Database - MySQL.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern website architectures.
• Experience with Git/version control and writing clean, maintainable, testable code.
• Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Framer, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of website analytics and user behaviour tools.
• Working knowledge of web design tools such as Figma, Canva, or similar, for creating website visuals and layout elements.
• Familiarity with AWS (or similar cloud platforms) for hosting, deployment, and basic infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and Core Web Vitals.
• Ability to independently own projects from idea to implementation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Hotjar, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Salesforce, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation.
• Experience working with marketing teams.
• Understanding of APIs and integrations.
• Exposure to international websites and localisation strategies.
• Basic UI/UX understanding.
