Contract videographer based in the West Bank who films Palestinian farmers, olive groves, and village life for an e-commerce brand's footage library. Shoots on a client-provided Sony FX6 kit, executes creative briefs largely independently, and delivers raw footage while the client handles editing.
This is a remote position.
Capture authentic, cinematic footage of the farmers, groves, and harvest behind our product to tell the true story of its origin.
Location: Onsite - Based in Palestine (West Bank); this is essential as the role requires on-the-ground access to farms and villages
Role Type: Contract | Consultant-contractor | Ongoing (shoot-based cadence)
Reports to: Creative Director / Creative Strategist
The opportunity
About the organization
- Film the farmers, olive groves, harvest processes, and village life with a cinematic approach, capturing both wide landscapes and intimate human moments.
- Execute shot briefs provided by the Creative Director or Strategist, while applying your own artistic judgment to elevate the visual narrative.
- Plan, coordinate, and run shoots on location largely independently, managing logistics and schedules without constant supervision.
- Shoot product-focused and lifestyle scenes that align with the brand’s aesthetic and messaging.
- Continuously build and expand the company’s footage library, providing fresh, usable material for editors to cut into ads and social content regularly.
What you bring
- Essential: Based in Palestine (West Bank), with the ability to physically reach local farms and rural communities.
- Demonstrated videography skills, proven through a reel featuring documentary, human-interest, or place-based work rather than just polished commercial shots.
- Proficiency in operating professional cinema cameras, specifically the Sony FX6, as well as associated audio and lighting setups. Note: The client provides the primary camera kit and gear; you do not need to own a full professional rig, but you must know how to operate it effectively.
- Storytelling sensibility: the ability to find and frame the "human moment" and build trust with subjects so they appear natural and comfortable on camera.
- Self-directed work ethic, capable of planning a shoot, executing it reliably, and delivering finished raw footage without hand-holding.
- Respectful and culturally attuned approach when working with farmers and rural communities.
Helpful, but not essential
- Basic video editing skills, allowing you to provide rough cuts or select best-of sequences alongside raw footage.
- Personal connection to the agricultural heritage or mission of supporting Palestinian farmers.
- Experience in drone photography or aerial cinematography of landscapes.
