Videographer & Content Producer

Phoenix is the Autonomous Commerce Platform for DTC Founders. We unify storefronts, checkout, payments, and operations into one platform where AI agents handle the operational grind and merchants focus on growth.

We set out to build the "Shopify of Direct Response" and along the way recognized something bigger. Direct response is roughly a third of all ecommerce transactions, a trillion-dollar market chronically overlooked by Silicon Valley. The merchants who run it are obsessive about tooling.

They live and die by velocity, conversion, and margin. They have no brand moats. They only compete on operations, which is exactly what makes them ripe for agentic disruption and the earliest, fastest adopters of AI agents in commerce.

That insight reframed Phoenix from "the Shopify of DR" to the AI Agent Platform for DTC Founders.

This is a category-defining bet, and we are running at it from a position of strength.

• 8-figure ARR growing 100%+ YoY

• Strong unit economics and efficient growth

• Rapid merchant adoption and expanding market presence

• Backed by experienced operators and investors with a history of building and scaling successful businesses

Your core mission is event content. Everything else builds from there.

At our events, you will:

• Shoot professional video: keynotes, panels, activations, and the energy in between.

• Serve as event photographer, capturing both polished shots and candid moments.

• Create vertical video on the fly for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.

• Film, edit, post, and share content with attendees at light speed.

• Act as our content concierge, handling content edits and requests from marketing and sales in real-time.

Beyond events, you will:

• Film and edit podcasts and other live marketing content as needed

• Support marketing and sales with video and photo content across campaigns

• Build a growing library of content the whole company pulls from

• Improve our team’s capabilities to generate captivating content fast, using AI

The more you can do, the better. But events are the core, and where you'll earn your reputation.

You'll also be one of the faces of Phoenix

This is not a hide-behind-the-camera role. You'll talk with prospects and customers at events, represent Phoenix in the room, and build relationships while you work. If group gatherings drain you, you probably won't like this job. If they energize you, you'll thrive.

We're looking for someone early in their career, hungry, high-energy, and as we like to say around here, “Cracked.” That means:

• Visual Curiosity: you're inspired by online media and cinema, you're highly open to new ideas, and you're driven to experiment with new digital tools.

• Resourcefulness: you take initiative to close gaps, wear multiple hats, and figure it out without being asked.

• Ambitious Scope: you take big swings on larger-scope projects instead of playing it safe.

• AI-Obsessed: you're actively figuring out how AI can make you better at your craft, and it shows in your work.

• Socially Fluent: you're comfortable and confident talking to strangers, customers, and executives alike.

• Hungry to Prove Yourself: you want to work hard, learn fast, and build a name in this industry.

Requirements

• Demonstrated skill in event videography and photography.

• First-adopter of emerging best practices using AI for your profession.

• Strong vertical video instincts. You know what performs on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.

• Fast, capable editing skills (video and photo).

• Podcast and live-content filming/editing experience is a strong plus.

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including internationally.

• A portfolio or reel that shows your range.

• High ownership

• Decisiveness

• Strong recruiting and talent development capabilities

• Accountability

• Product judgment

• Calm under pressure

• Builder mentality

These are the values that guide how we operate:

• All In to Win — Operate with urgency, intensity, and a relentless bar for excellence.

• A Players Only — Only hire, develop, and keep A players. Protect talent density.

• Merchant First — Merchants are why we exist. Every decision measured by merchant impact.

• Entrepreneurial Spirit — Move like a Day One company. Fast, scrappy, hungry. Everyone owns.

• Execution Over Ego — Best ideas win regardless of source. Status and titles do not matter.
