Contract role (to July 2027) managing the transition of major ICT solutions from project delivery into business-as-usual operations within a large Queensland Government environment: building operating models, IT support/service management, MSP onboarding and readiness activities. Core skills: PRINCE2, ITIL, ITSM, and stakeholder/vendor management.
We are seeking an experienced Transition Project Manager to manage the transition of major ICT solutions from project delivery into business-as-usual operations within a large Queensland Government environment.
This role will focus on establishing the operational model, support arrangements and processes required to successfully transition new enterprise technology into BAU.
Reporting to the Program Manager, you will manage transition activities across people, process and technology, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, SMEs, vendors and operational teams.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will manage transition activities across people, process and technology, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, SMEs, vendors and operational teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing Target Operating Models and transition plans.
- Planning and coordinating the transition of ICT solutions into operational service.
- Establishing IT support and service management arrangements.
- Supporting the selection and onboarding of a Managed Service Provider (MSP), including service requirements and contract establishment.
- Managing operational and business readiness, change impacts and adoption activities.
- Coordinating knowledge transfer, operational documentation and support processes.
- Establishing service level and performance monitoring arrangements.
- Managing risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholder reporting.
- PRINCE2 Foundation certification
- ITIL certification
- Demonstrated experience in IT Service Management (ITSM)
- Proven experience managing ICT transitions into BAU operations
- Experience developing transition plans, operating models and operational readiness activities
- Strong stakeholder, vendor and project management skills
- PRINCE2 Practitioner certification
- Experience with AWS/cloud solutions and COTS products
- Queensland Government experience
- Experience transitioning enterprise software within Government or large organisations
- Experience working with or establishing Managed Service Provider (MSP) arrangements
- Experience delivering large-scale enterprise technology transformation projects
