Senior Product Designer

We’re on a mission to become the go-to destination for students across Europe to find a trusted home away from home. We make every step of the rental journey simple and seamless, so students can focus on what really matters: studying, exploring, and growing.

With HousingAnywhere, Kamernet, and Studapart under our roof, we’re Europe’s largest student rental platform. You’ll find us in Rotterdam, Paris, and Cergy, always guided by our four core values: Ownership, We are enablers, We are changemakers, and We are connectors.

Your role

Help people find their next home with absolute certainty.

Moving to a new country is an adventure, but finding a home shouldn’t be the hardest part. At HousingAnywhere, we’re revolutionizing renting by building a platform that helps people confidently rent a home abroad.

Design isn't here to polish screens. It's here to shape the product. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to own the Listing & Finding experience. You will define what discovering a home feels like: fast, relevant, trustworthy, and human.

As the design owner for one of the most important journeys in our marketplace, you will:

• Shape the long-term vision for the search and discovery experience.
• Lead projects from early discovery through launch and iteration.
• Use qualitative research, behavioural data, and experimentation to make decisions, not opinions.
• Define success, measure impact, and continuously improve your solutions.
• Raise the quality bar across the design team through thoughtful critique and craft.
• Contribute to our design principles, design system, and the way we build the product.

Your team

Collaborate deeply. Design with absolute purpose.

You'll work alongside Product, Engineering, Research, and Data as an equal partner to challenge assumptions, validate ideas, and turn ambiguity into a product that genuinely improves people's lives.

We move fast, we think ahead, and we focus on what our audience truly needs. You'll have the freedom to influence your team’s strategy in an environment that values:

• Elegant interaction design and meaningful micro-interactions
• Clear design principles and consistent systems
• Accessible experiences
• Quality over shortcuts

Shipping fast matters. Shipping something we're proud of matters even more. If you thrive on autonomy and solving complex puzzles, we want to hear from you.

Your profile

• At least 7+ years of experience designing complex digital products.
• Strong product thinking and problem framing skills.
• Excellent interaction and visual design craft.
• Experience in marketplaces, search or discovery products.
• Experience running discovery and validating ideas.
• Confidence working with data, metrics and experiments.
• Experience collaborating closely with engineers and product managers.
• A portfolio showing not only what you designed – but why.

What’s in it for you

• Unlimited paid holidays, minimum-based not maximum!
• Position based in our Rotterdam office with hybrid working policy (2 office days).
• Flexibility to work remotely for up to 2 months per year!
• 1,000 EUR personal development budget.
• Complete coverage for commuting.
• Personal equipment, including laptop and ergonomic setup.
• Gym membership discount with GoVital or OneFit.
• Dutch/English classes budget.
• Variable pension scheme.
• Diverse international community (46+ nationalities).
• Pet-friendly office in Rotterdam city centre.
• Team-building events and after-work drinks every Friday.
