A Senior DevOps Engineer based in Centurion, South Africa, who designs and maintains CI/CD pipelines, automates infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible), and ensures reliability and scalability of high-traffic production systems on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP with Docker and Kubernetes.
Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join their established technology team based in Centurion. In this critical role, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our production systems. You will work closely with development and operations teams to foster a culture of collaboration and implement best practices for software delivery and infrastructure management. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and testing. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (Ia C) using tools like Terraform or Ansible to automate provisioning and configuration. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and minimal downtime. Collaborate with software developers to optimize application performance, resource utilization, and deployment processes. Develop and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for production environments. Ensure the security and compliance of infrastructure and deployment processes. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or a related role, with a strong focus on automation. Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or Circle CI. Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
