Salary: Competitive
We’re partnering exclusively with a leading Australian media business that is investing significantly in its data, audience and technology platforms. As part of a major two year program of work, we’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join their Product and Engineering teams and help shape the next generation of their audience and data capabilities.
This is a hands on BA role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of media, technology and data. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Data Engineers and business stakeholders, taking complex problems through discovery and turning them into clear requirements for delivery. The role will also involve mapping current and future state data flows, understanding system integrations and supporting the build and integration of new audience and data capabilities.
Experience:• Strong Business Analyst experience within AdTech, MarTech, media or advertising environments
• AdTech or MarTech experience is essential, ideally with exposure to customer or audience data
• Experience with CDPs, audience segmentation, digital media platforms or first party data
• Strong requirements elicitation, documentation and workshop facilitation skills
• Experience working closely with Product, Engineering and Data teams
• Comfortable mapping current and future state processes and data flows
• Good understanding of data platforms, integrations, APIs and broader data concepts
• Strong Jira and Confluence experience
• Confident stakeholder management across both technical and business teams
• Analytical, curious and comfortable asking questions and challenging thinking
You don’t need to be a Data Engineer or SQL specialist. An understanding of data and how systems integrate is more important than being hands on with code. Experience with data warehouses, cleanrooms, identity resolution, Looker, Snowflake, BigQuery or similar technologies would be beneficial, but strong BA capability combined with genuine media, AdTech or MarTech experience is the priority.
This role offers a competitive daily rate and requires three days per week in the Sydney office. If you’re a Business Analyst from a media, advertising, AdTech or MarTech background and enjoy working across data and technology, we’d be keen to hear from you.
