About the Role
The Project Manager is an emergency response professional with extensive field experience who leads on-site project execution from mobilization, on-site operations through project closeout and hand-off back to operations. This position requires leveraging existing emergency response knowledge and experience for the on-site management of THS assets and provide exceptional service to the client. This role emphasizes regular presence in the field, hands-on coordination of subcontractors and suppliers, and real-time problem solving to keep projects safe, on schedule, and within budget.
This role provides management oversight for all emergency response operations, and all rolling and moveable assets, ensuring on-site operations readiness and exceptional service delivery to THS clients.
The role plays a critical hands-on role in overseeing on-site builds of work camps and day-to-day field execution, by managing tactical operations, rapid deployments, and field-based leadership.
The role requires extensive nationwide travel, on-site leadership at remote facilities, and the ability to operate in high-tempo, high-stakes environments including emergency response, disaster recovery, government contracts, and surge operations.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Deployment Operations
- Lead and oversee the THS Asset deployment, ensuring rapid mobilization, on-site operations/management and disciplined executing during emergencies and disaster response events in a timely manner.
- Develop site plans with appropriate operation layout for deployed assets.
- Ensure site is ready to receive assets and provide execution of on-site build and start-up operations of THS Assets.
- Provide day-to-day management of THS Assets during deployment.
- Ensure THS Assets are ready for transport when deployment ends.
- Develop and maintain emergency response operational playbooks, deployment procedures, staffing models, and asset staging plans.
- Coordinate closely with government agencies, emergency management officials, and internal THS leadership to meet mission-critical response requirements.
- Ensure emergency response operations align with THS safety, compliance, and service quality standards.
- Conduct post-event debriefs and after-action reviews to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Assist Company, subcontractors, and suppliers to solve daily business problems in a timely manner.
Communication and Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all THS asset deployment related communications.
- Prepare progress reports, status updates, close out reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Facilitate project meetings to ensure alignment with project goals and schedules.
Industry Outreach
- Identify and evaluate potential vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services specific to the project requirements.
- Perform business development outreach when not responding to emergencies
