Principal Product Designer, Design Systems

Overview

The MAI Monetization team is hiring a Principal Product Designer to join the team building the foundation the rest of the org designs and ships on. The role spans two tightly connected areas: the MAI Monetization Design System (components, tokens, patterns, and standards) and our AI-Native Tooling suite - Vibe Kit, a GitHub-based repository of skills, context, and standards for building with AI, and Vibe Studio, our AI-powered design and prototyping environment.

We're turning our design org into a product factory: designers who ship production-quality work with AI, grounded in a system that guarantees quality, context, and access. Making our team's work multiply - everything we ship gets used by every designer and engineer in the org.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
