About LawConnect

When people face a legal problem, most don’t know where to start. LawConnect exists to change that - helping everyone understand their situation, build confidence, and find the right legal help when it matters most.

We’re redefining how consumers get legal help by combining AI with our leading lawyer marketplace. Backed by one of the largest legal software companies globally, we bring the stability and resources of an established business with the speed and ambition of a well-funded startup.

This is an environment built around innovation, experimentation, and moving quickly. Small team, real momentum, and a global ambition. You’ll work alongside talented people who care deeply about making legal help accessible to everyone.

What you’ll do

You’ll partner with our Product Managers and the wider team to shape and improve the user experience of our legal products - turning product problems, user needs, and business goals into clear, testable design solutions.

You’ll get involved early: mapping how people actually experience a legal need, shaping what we build and why, then wireframing, prototyping and testing your way to a validated solution. Our design system is already in place – your job is to use it, evolve it, and help us build the right things faster.

To make this happen you will:

• Map the end-to-end journey of someone in a moment of legal need, from first confusion to getting matched with the right help – spotting friction, gaps, and opportunities along the way.

• Partner closely with our Product Managers – using their briefs and priorities as your starting point, and asking the right questions early when the problem, user need, or success measure isn't clear.

• Turn ambiguous product problems into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes – producing options fast so the team can compare, discuss, and iterate.

• Run or support user interviews, usability testing, and feedback sessions to validate (or kill) proposed solutions.

• Bring a user-first perspective into product discussions, and explain your design decisions clearly – the user problem, assumptions, trade-offs, and reasoning.

• Design across web, desktop, and mobile, including experiences that integrate with AI tools like Claude.

• Help define how we use AI inside our own design workflow – tools, process, and best practice.

• Work closely with PMs, engineering, legal/content, and other stakeholders, communicating progress, blockers, and next steps without being asked.

What you’ll bring

• Experience as a Senior, Lead or Principal Product Designer, ideally across both B2B and B2C products.

• A track record of solving real user problems.

• Comfort partnering closely with Product Managers – taking a brief and running with it, and asking the right questions early.

• Strong user research instincts – comfortable running interviews, usability tests, and interpreting feedback.

• Confidence moving fast with modern design tools, and just as comfortable in a workshop or whiteboarding session.

• A portfolio that shows how you’ve mapped customer problems and journeys, not just final screens.

You are the type of person who

• Asks why before you ask how.

• Wants a say in what gets built, not just how it looks.

• Gets uncomfortable shipping a design that hasn’t been tested on a real user.

• Is energised by how fast AI is changing software, not intimidated by it.

LawConnect is an inclusive, people-first company committed to breaking down institutional barriers that keep people from reaching their potential. If you meet some, but not all the requirements above, we encourage you to still submit your application.
