Description:

Who we are

Oliver Wyman is a global management consulting firm. We work with clients through their most defining moments, combining deep industry knowledge, specialized expertise, and the power of perspective to help them adapt, grow, and thrive.

We believe diverse perspectives make the work stronger. Our consultants bring different backgrounds, experiences, and ways of thinking to help solve complex problems and create lasting impact for clients, colleagues, and communities.

At Oliver Wyman, we are proud of the values that we aspire to live by. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.

Quotient — AI by Oliver Wyman brings together deep industry insight, strategic advisory, and hands-on AI delivery to help organizations move from proof to production and from production to enterprise value.

The role

WAVE is a newly created team within Quotient. It exists to accelerate AI-enabled business development and help our teams move faster, think differently, and build with reuse in mind.

As Platform / Infrastructure Engineer, you will own the foundations that make WAVE work. You will design and maintain the infrastructure that allows a small, fast-moving team to prototype quickly, deploy reliably, and scale with confidence. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building dependable engineering foundations and creating self-serve platforms that help others move faster.

What you will do

You will create the infrastructure that lets WAVE move from idea to deployment with speed, consistency, and control.

You will:

• Design, build, and maintain the team’s cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

• Set up CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and disaster-recovery capabilities so solutions can move from prototype to deployment quickly and repeatably.

• Provide infrastructure as a service to the rest of the team through self-serve environments that do not bottleneck on you.

• Advise on the right infrastructure setup for each solution, including what is needed to support scale.

• Work closely with the AI Engineers to ensure their work can be deployed, monitored, and maintained effectively.

• Help WAVE make practical choices about environment design, release management, and operational resilience.

• Support a consistent engineering experience across projects, so the team can build once and reuse where possible.

• Contribute to a platform mindset across WAVE, where infrastructure is treated as a product the team can rely on.

How you will be measured

Our success is simple to state: the team should be able to move fast without losing reliability. You’ll know you are succeeding when engineers can self-serve the environments they need, when deployments are smooth and repeatable, and when the infrastructure consistently supports a growing pipeline of reusable AI work.

Why join us?

You can be your best here. At Oliver Wyman, you will find meaningful work, talented people, and a culture built on trust, support, and growth.

Create solutions that have impact

• Build the technical foundations that help WAVE deliver AI-enabled work faster and more reliably.

• Help turn promising ideas into deployable solutions that can support proposals, prototypes, and reusable assets.

• Be part of a team where your work directly shapes what the business can build, reuse, and scale.

Develop as a leader

• Take ownership from day one in a role that sits at the centre of WAVE’s engineering environment.

• Build credibility by helping others move quickly without compromising quality, reliability, or good engineering practice.

• Lead through technical judgement, practical problem solving, and clear communication.

Learn without limits

• Build a rare mix of cloud engineering, platform thinking, and exposure to AI-enabled consulting work.

• Work closely with AI Engineers, the Technical Business Partner, and colleagues across Quotient and the wider firm.

• Deepen your understanding of how to design infrastructure for speed, reuse, and scale in a consulting environment.

Thrive in a vibrant and inclusive culture

• Work as part of a collaborative team that values different perspectives and practical problem solving.

• Help shape how a new team grows, in a culture where people are encouraged to speak up, share ideas, and move quickly together.

• Join an environment that supports inclusion, teamwork, and mutual respect.

Experience rewards that work for you

• Enjoy a role designed for learning, visibility, and growth inside a newly created team.

• Be part of a pilot that is built to scale, giving you exposure to how a new capability is shaped from the ground up.

• Work in a way that supports performance, development, and sustainability.

Who can apply?

We are looking for someone who is comfortable building and running internal platforms that other engineers depend on. The right person will combine strong engineering depth with practical judgement, and will enjoy working in a small team where infrastructure directly shapes delivery speed and quality.

This role is well suited to someone who wants to work at the intersection of cloud engineering, platform reliability, and AI-enabled delivery.

Required qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and a major cloud platform, ideally Azure and/or AWS.

• Solid experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.

• Experience designing and supporting disaster-recovery capabilities.

• Ability to build and run internal platforms that other engineers depend on.

• Practical understanding of how to support deployment, reliability, and scale across multiple solutions.

• Full professional English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience supporting data and AI workloads in production.

• Familiarity with Polaris

• Experience working in a fast-moving environment with multiple concurrent initiatives.

• Experience shaping platform standards or reusable engineering patterns.

How to apply

Please submit your CV and cover letter. If shortlisted, you will be invited to meet members of the WAVE team and discuss your experience, motivation, and approach to the role.
