Drakes Supermarkets is hiring an IT Data Integration Developer in its IT Technical Solutions team to design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and end-to-end integrations between business systems. Core tech includes SQL databases (MySQL, MariaDB, DB2) and the Microsoft BI stack (Power BI, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).

What you'll be doing:
Join our IT Technical Solutions Team and play a key role in delivering innovative technology solutions that support 6,000 team members across a fast-growing business. You'll work across diverse projects and stakeholders to design and implement data integration solutions that address complex challenges and drive business success.

Responsibilities:
Perform data extracts and data mining to support business analysis
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes
Enhance data warehouse capabilities and performance
Create and maintain data stores for analytical/reporting sources
Implement data models and schema designs to support business requirements
Optimize database performance and ensure data quality and accuracy
Work with the business and colleagues to design and implement scalable data solutions
Implement end-to-end data integration solutions between systems, applications, and platforms.
Create and maintain documentation for integration workflows, processes, configurations and data dictionaries
Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering
Your Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
2+ years of experience as a data engineer or a similar role
Substantial experience in database technologies, such as SQL, mySQL, mariaDB, DB2
Experience in business stakeholder engagement and requirements analysis
Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline design
Experience with Power BI, SSRS, SSAS and SSIS
Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is desirable
Experience with Python, Java or C# is desirable
Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, strong communication skills and attention to detail
