Sylvan Labs is tackling a critical gap in enterprise software — an underpenetrated space with billions in unrealized revenue potential. We are building a digital account manager agent that autonomously analyzes data, surfaces revenue insights, and automates follow-through. In the long run, we aim to multiply the output of every customer-facing team, transforming how businesses scale revenue from the ground up.
We are looking for a Founding Full-Stack AI Engineer who wants to redefine how enterprise companies drive revenue. We will only hire A-players and are highly willing to go above-market in ownership, equity, and cash compensation. We want world-class builders who are excited by the opportunity to be part of a category-defining company at the earliest stage. It won’t be easy. We’re going to move fast. But it’ll be fun.
The RoleAs a Founding Engineer, you’ll work directly with the founders to architect, build, and scale the platform from 0 to 1. You’ll take full ownership of core features, shape the product roadmap, and drive technical execution in an environment that values speed, iteration, and excellence.
Own and ship features end-to-end, from architecture to deployment.
Build robust integrations + data ontology mapping tooling to streamline ingest and normalization of 3rd-party data, delivering enterprise-grade durability, scalability, and rapid customer deployments.
Develop and maintain intuitive, functional UIs — pushing the envelope on AI product patterns and moving beyond simple chatbots to create more immersive, assistive experiences.
Architect & build agentic solutions that automate complex workflows while advancing applied AI — from long-term agent memory to enhancing LLMs with reinforcement learning.
Work closely with customers, iterating rapidly to refine and improve the product.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and scaling a high-impact platform that will shape the future of revenue operations.
Who You AreBeen the top code contributor on your prior teams, not phased by the prospect of long hours when needed to ship and scale.
A world-class software engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
Passionate about building high-quality products with speed and precision.
Strong customer empathy — you understand user needs and build with them in mind.
Proven track record building real-world ML/AI products with solid grasp of AI/ML fundamentals.
Plus factors:
Prior experience as a founder / early-stage engineer.
Experience with React, TypeScript, and Python.
This role is a rare opportunity to build foundational technology in a massive, underpenetrated market. If you're excited to own, build, and scale a category-defining platform, we’d love to talk.
ValuesIn-Person Only. We are onsite in San Francisco — no remote or hybrid.
A-Players Only. We hire exceptional talent and pay above-market rather than compromise. A-players attract A-players.
Relentless Drive. You have a chip on your shoulder, thrive under pressure, and have extremely high urgency.
Bias for Action. We don’t debate for weeks — we build, test, and iterate. Speed of execution is our advantage, and we expect everyone to push velocity.
Craft Matters. You take pride in doing great work, not just getting things done. Thoughtful, intentional execution matters as much as speed.
Fast Decisions, Fast Corrections. If someone isn’t the right fit, we move on quickly. Paid trials help us hire with conviction.
Customer-First, Always. Internal speed should never slow down external results. If a customer feels stuck, we failed.
Merit Over Politics. Titles reflect impact, not tenure. No ladder-climbing, no bureaucracy. Flat hierarchy.
Attention to Detail. Excellence is in the details. Pixel-perfect UI and thoughtful execution separates great products from mediocre ones.
Most importantly: No Assholes, High Mutual Respect. We operate at high intensity, but with deep respect. Direct, honest, and no egos — just a shared obsession to win.
