A Dutch-speaking developer in Antwerp designs and maintains integration flows and REST APIs on MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform and builds backend services in Java 21, working hybrid (2 days onsite) with analysts and architects. Contract is freelance/CDD with a negotiable rate.
We are looking for a Dutch-speaking Java / MuleSoft Developer to join our team on a hybrid basis in Antwerp. You will design, develop, and maintain integration solutions and Java-based applications, working with modern tooling including Java 21.
Key responsibilities
Design and develop integration flows and APIs using MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform)
Build and maintain backend services in Java (version 21)
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other developers
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Required skills & experience
Fluent in Dutch (mandatory) and good command of English
Strong experience with Java (21 preferred)
Hands-on experience with MuleSoft (Anypoint Studio, Mule 4, Dataweave)
Experience building REST APIs and integration solutions
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GIT
Ability to work independently and in a team
Nice to have:
Experience with Spring Boot
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
MuleSoft certification
