The Opportunity
Stop chasing leads. Start closing them.
Floor Coverings International brings the showroom to the customer — literally. You'll pull your Mobile Flooring Showroom right up to the homeowner's driveway and guide them through a real in-home consultation: understanding their space, their style, their budget — then presenting a proposal and closing the deal, all in one visit.
This isn't a pushy, hard-sell environment. It's consultative — you're helping homeowners land on the right decision, not pressuring them into one. We just believe a great consultation naturally earns a same-day yes, and we love a good one-call close.
We've built a local reputation on a 4.8/5 customer rating, a name that's been voted Best of the Springs four times, and a team culture that treats you like family — not a number. If you're a top sales performer who's tired of being underpaid, underappreciated, or capped on what you can earn, this is your next move.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Running appointments from a mix of company-provided leads and your own prospecting
- Networking and building referral relationships to grow your pipeline
- Guiding homeowners to the right choice through honest, consultative conversation — and earning the close in that same visit
- Presenting proposals and pricing clearly, so saying yes feels easy, not pressured
- Owning your pipeline — proposals, follow-ups, and closing with confidence
What Winning Looks Like
- 50%+ close rate on appointments
- A steady stream of 5-star reviews with your name on them
- A referral pipeline that grows every quarter
- Profitable projects and customers who rave about you
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of sales experience in flooring, interior design, or construction (required)
- Someone who can build trust fast and read a room
- Sharp with numbers — comfortable estimating and pricing
- A natural networker who's always growing their circle
- Energized by closing same-day — you'd rather ask for the sale now than chase it later
- Organized, self-motivated, and tech-comfortable
- Valid driver's license
And beyond the resume, you're someone who:
- Stays confident and solutions-focused when things get hard
- Brings a genuinely positive attitude, day in and day out
- Takes ownership and follows through, no excuses
- Isn't rattled by the unknown — you find a way
Compensation & Benefits
- $50,000 draw + uncapped commission (6-figure potential)
- Bonuses for self-generated leads and referrals
- Company van provided — your mobile showroom, ready to go
- Paid training to set you up for success
- Paid time off
- Flexible schedule
Meet Rick — Your Future Boss (and Biggest Advocate)
Rick owns the Floor Coverings International franchise serving Colorado Springs, and he built this business to run the way he'd want to be treated. A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, he brings a logistics mindset — organized, precise, and relentless about making sure his team has what they need to succeed. He's also a former pastor, and that servant-leadership shows up in how he treats his customers and his people.
Rick's been voted Best of the Springs four times, stays deeply involved in the local community, and is especially passionate about supporting veterans. Married 16 years, raising two kids and two dogs, and happiest on a mountain trail or a ski slope — Rick built a business and a life he's proud of, and he's looking for someone who wants to build the same for themselves.
