Experienced Business Analyst (5+ years) to backfill a role with an Australian Federal Government client on a multi-year regulatory capability reform program. Day to day: business process analysis and documentation, Agile user stories and acceptance criteria, and complex stakeholder management. Canberra-based (hybrid); Australian citizenship and AGSVA NV1 clearance mandatory.
You must be an Australian Citizen to apply. A minimum AGSVA Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance is mandatory.
Location: Canberra preferred. Strong candidates interstate in other cities will be considered. (Hybrid work arrangement is also supported e.g. 2 days/week from home).
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to backfill an existing role with our Australian Federal Government client, working on a large-scale, multi-year reform program focused on uplifting the client’s regulatory capability through the design, development and implementation of new processes, resourcing, tools, systems and technology.
Essential Skills and Experience:
1.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
• Demonstrated excellence in business writing and documentation, such as analysis and documentation of current and future business processes.
2.
• Skilled in writing, refining, and managing user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Ensure solutions meet regulatory, legislative, and industry standards, providing business assurance throughout the transformation process.
3.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical users
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical terminology
4.
• Experienced in delivering high-quality outcomes within demanding timeline
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative, highly motivated team, to deliver in a project and program environment
5.
• Proven ability to identify and plan capability maturity improvements and business process improvements
• Proven ability to communicate with influence, negotiate outcomes and manage complex stakeholder relationships
6.
• Experience in and desire to mentor and upskill less experienced team members
• Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters
Desirable Skills and Experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or requisite experience
• Knowledge of system integration with the ability to analyse which systems can be brought together and work together
Contract duration: ASAP to 30 June 2027 plus 12 months extension
