Support customer Credit & Risk Excellence initiatives through business analysis, portfolio analytics, process assessment, policy enhancement, requirements definition, and implementation monitoring.
Support the development and operationalizing of RAROC methodologies, risk appetite frameworks, approval models, and credit process improvements across sectors, products, business segments, and geographies.
Work closely with Credit, Risk, Finance, Business, Technology, and country teams to translate business and risk requirements into structured analysis, documentation, reporting, and implementation actions.
Contribute to data-driven credit decisions, process consistency, risk governance, and sustainable portfolio performance.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse portfolio performance, credit quality, profitability, capital utilisation, concentration levels, and risk-adjusted returns across sectors, products, client segments, and geographies.
- Support development and application of RAROC methodologies and risk-adjusted performance measures for credit and portfolio decision-making.
- Prepare portfolio analysis to identify opportunities around risk-adjusted profitability, capital efficiency, pricing discipline, and exposure allocation.
- Assess financial and non-financial benefits from credit process, policy, risk appetite, and approval framework enhancements.
- Track benefits realization, implementation milestones, KPIs, and transformation progress.
- Produce management information on portfolio trends, capital consumption, credit quality, and risk-return performance.
- Identify data anomalies, adverse trends, and variances from approved targets and escalate findings.
- Support business cases through baseline data, assumptions, expected benefits, and outcome monitoring.
- Implement KPIs and best practices for the Business Analyst, Credit & Risk Excellence role.
- Promote cost consciousness, efficiency, productivity, and optimization of Bank benefits.
- Act within delegated authority.
- Work with Credit, Risk, Finance, Corporate & Institutional Banking, Wholesale Banking, Technology, Operations, Strategy, and country teams to gather and validate requirements.
- Provide analysis, process documentation, portfolio insights, dashboards, and status reporting to support decision-making.
- Coordinate workshops, interviews, and working sessions covering current-state practices, pain points, controls, and future-state requirements.
- Translate requirements into business requirements, process maps, functional specifications, data requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Respond to queries regarding portfolio analytics, process design, policy changes, implementation status, risk appetite monitoring, and approval workflows.
- Maintain effective stakeholder relationships and facilitate resolution of requirements gaps, data issues, process inconsistencies, and implementation dependencies.
- Maintain records of stakeholder decisions, actions, dependencies, and outstanding matters.
- Support internal customers with credit process and risk framework queries.
- Work within SLAs to improve turnaround times and provide timely and accurate information to Audit, Compliance, Financial Control, and Risk.
- Document and assess current-state credit processes, approval workflows, roles, controls, service standards, systems, data flows, and governance arrangements.
- Develop future-state process maps, procedures, business requirements, control requirements, and implementation documentation.
- Identify duplication, unnecessary hand offs, manual activities, control gaps, approval bottlenecks, and opportunities for standardization, simplification, and automation.
- Support development, review, and implementation of credit policies, underwriting standards, procedural guidance, and operating instructions.
- Conduct gap analysis against target policies, processes, risk appetite requirements, and approval frameworks.
- Support development and testing of RAROC models, portfolio performance measures, calculation methodologies, assumptions, and management reports.
- Analyse sector, product, client-segment, rating, geographic, and concentration-risk exposures.
- Support definition of risk appetite parameters, limits, thresholds, KRIs, and escalation triggers.
- Support review and redesign of credit approval matrices, delegated authorities, committee thresholds, escalation paths, and exception processes.
- Track implementation across business units, functions, and geographies, maintaining action, issue, risk, dependency, and decision logs.
- Support UAT, implementation readiness, data validation, procedure updates, communications, and post-implementation reviews.
- Develop dashboards and management reports covering risk appetite utilization, policy exceptions, approval turnaround times, portfolio performance, concentration levels, and transformation progress.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability.
- Maintain controlled and auditable documentation of requirements, processes, methodologies, assumptions, approvals, decisions, and implementation evidence.
- Escalate material issues, delays, data-quality concerns, control gaps, and deviations from approved requirements.
- Support continuous improvement through lessons learned, stakeholder feedback, and practical enhancements.
- Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and internal requirements, including AML & CTF, Sanctions, Data Protection, Fraud Control, Whistle Blowing, Conflict of Interest, and Insider Dealing policies.
- Operate under the Three Lines of Defence principle.
- Ensure good client outcomes in accordance with Conduct Risk Policy.
- Support RCSA, KRI, incident reporting, remediation, and Operational Risk Management requirements.
- Maintain required knowledge and competence, complete mandatory training, and attend required seminars.
