POSITION PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Business Analyst bridges business units and IT to deliver successful transformation and change. The role assesses impacts, improves processes, engages stakeholders, and gathers clear requirements and acceptance criteria, using wireframes where a visual approach helps. The Business Analyst then translates business needs into technical documentation that delivery teams can act on.
About the role
A Business Analyst role focused on working with stakeholders to understand business problems, goals, processes and desired outcomes, and translating them into actionable work. The role involves process mapping, requirements capture, solution design, and ensuring delivered solutions address the original business problem and provide expected business value.
Key responsibilities
Work with stakeholders to understand business problems, goals, processes and desired outcomes
Capture business, functional and non-functional requirements clearly and translate them into actionable work
Map current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and design improved future-state processes
Participate in backlog refinement, sprint ceremonies, and requirements traceability and change control
Work with Technology, Business Systems and stakeholders to shape practical, scalable solutions
Build relationships across business and technology teams and facilitate discussions between different groups
Assess and prioritise requirements based on business value, risk, complexity and strategic alignment
Create clear user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria that development teams can work from
Develop test scenarios, support UAT, validate solutions against requirements and identify defects or gaps
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, simplify workflows and improve operational efficiency
About you
Experience in business analysis, organisational change, transformation, or project delivery
Experience supporting business process improvement initiatives
Understanding of business process analysis
Understanding of organisational change management
Understanding of stakeholder management
Understanding of business transformation methodologies
Understanding of process mapping techniques
Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Jira, Salesforce Confluence and Power BI
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical and critical thinking ability
