Working closely with the sales, project delivery and technical teams, you will help translate client requirements into practical, cost-effective AV solutions, supporting projects from initial consultation and system design through to tender submission and handover.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness and the ability to communicate complex solutions clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop suitable audiovisual solutions.
- Prepare AV system designs, equipment specifications, technical proposals and tender documentation.

- Review drawings, project specifications and tender packages to identify scope requirements, risks and opportunities.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain product information, pricing and technical support.
- Support the sales team with technical presentations, client meetings and solution recommendations.
- Ensure proposed solutions meet relevant project specifications, budget expectations and technical requirements.

- Keep up to date with AV technologies, industry developments and emerging solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in AV pre-sales, AV estimating, audiovisual system design or a similar technical role.
- Knowledge of commercial AV systems, including meeting room technology, displays, audio systems, video conferencing and control solutions.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Experience preparing quotations, bills of materials, equipment schedules and technical proposals.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
- A commercially minded approach, with an understanding of project costs, budgets and delivery requirements.

- Salary of $100,000-$115,000 + superannuation, depending on experience.
- A full-time, permanent position within an established electrical and technology services business.
- Exposure to a varied portfolio of commercial AV projects.
- The opportunity to work collaboratively with sales, engineering and project delivery professionals.
- Scope to develop your technical expertise and progress your career within the audiovisual industry.
If you have a background in commercial AV systems and enjoy combining technical problem-solving with client engagement and solution development, we'd welcome a conversation.
