Build and maintain the data models and dbt pipelines that power Swap’s agentic commerce platform, ensuring reliable, scalable analytics for internal teams and customer-facing systems.
About Swap
Swap is the infrastructure behind modern agentic commerce. The only AI-native platform connecting backend operations with a forward-thinking storefront experience.
Built for brands that want to sell anything - anywhere, Swap centralises global operations, powers intelligent workflows, and unlocks margin-protecting decisions with real-time data and capability. Our products span cross-border, tax, returns, demand planning, and our next-generation agentic storefront, giving merchants full transparency and the ability to act with confidence.
At Swap, we’re building a culture that values clarity, creativity, and shared ownership as we redefine how global commerce works.
Swap is entering a new data-driven era, and we need an Analytics Engineer to help us build for it.
You'll join our Analytics Engineering team as a key contributor with real ownership. Your models will power the whole business, from the commercial insights Sales and Finance run on to the trusted data behind our customer-facing agentic systems. You'll help shape a modern, scalable data architecture, and you'll see your work used.
We want a hands-on builder who wants to work in a high-quality dbt project and help set our analytics direction. If you like fast-moving, collaborative teams where your work counts, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do
Scale our dbt project, shaping its architecture and CI/CD so it keeps up with company-wide ambitions.
Help define our data modelling strategy and maintain the core set of fast, scalable, and trusted models that everything downstream relies on, from our BI tool to our agentic systems and analytics APIs.
Champion strong standards for data quality, PII governance, testing, and documentation, so our data stays reliable as we grow.
Work with Sales, Finance, and Product to turn business questions into clear data requirements, and keep delivery expectations realistic.
Help build and refine the foundational data assets in Lightdash, so stakeholders and analysts can get to answers themselves.
What we'd like to see
Solid experience in a data role such as Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI Development (or equivalent academic experience).
Hands-on dbt experience, ideally.
Hands-on orchestration experience, with tools like Airflow or Dagster.
Strong SQL and a good grasp of data modelling patterns.
Experience with a modern cloud data warehouse, such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
Confidence with Git and version control.
Clear communication, and the ability to work well with technical and non-technical colleagues.
A detail-oriented mindset, and a drive to keep learning and build data products people can trust.
Diversity & Equal Opportunities:
We embrace diversity and equality in a serious way. We are committed to building a team with a variety of backgrounds, skills, and views. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. Creating a culture of equality isn't just the right thing to do; it's also the smart thing.
