The Opportunity
MIC is looking for Medical Radiation Technologists and Combined Laboratory and Xray Technologist, experienced and new grads, to join our team. MRTs and CLXT’s at MIC have the opportunity to perform a wide variety of exams including general Xray, fluoroscopy procedures, mammography, & bone density. We provide on the job training for technologists. As an MRT/CLXT, you will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams, and provide safe, compassionate patient care. Working collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, technologists, and clinic teams, you will help ensure accurate imaging, efficient workflow, and an exceptional patient experience.
Status: Part-time and Full-time positions available. Location: Various Edmonton and area clinics.Hours: Hours and shift schedules vary by position. Evening and weekend availability is required.
Role and Responsibilities:
Perform general X-ray exams, fluoroscopy (pain management), bone density, and/or mammography diagnostic imaging procedures.
Perform imaging procedures according to protocols and produce high-quality images.
Prepare, educate, and support patients throughout procedures.
Ensure proper positioning, image quality, and radiation safety.
Perform equipment checks, cleaning, troubleshooting, and required QC.
Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and procedure documentation.
Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
Support staff and student training while promoting best practices.
Demonstrate initiative, accuracy, and strong interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications:
Active Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist (CAMRT) & Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) or the Canadian Society of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (CSCLXT) & Alberta College of Combined Laboratory & X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT) licenses are required.
Maintain good standing with the Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) if experienced mammography technologist.
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, physicians, and team members.
Demonstrates accountability, reliability, and ethical conduct.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
Float between MIC’s locations within and around the Edmonton area.
First Aid certification is an asset but not required prior to employment. MIC will support successful candidates in obtaining and maintaining a First Aid certification.
