Web Engineer at collinsongroup.teamtailor.com – Remote | Jobyssey

At Collinson, we don’t just build technology — we power the experiences behind some of the world’s most recognised travel, financial services, and retail brands.

Our solutions help global brands acquire, engage, and retain millions of customers worldwide. Our flagship product is Priority Pass, the world’s leading airport experiences programme, trusted by travellers across more than 170 countries. Key clients include Mastercard, American Express, Cathay Pacific, British Airways, LATAM, Flying Blue, Accor, EasyJet, HSBC, Chase, HDFC. Our mission is focused on doing good beyond profit, which for us means we seek out opportunities for our people to share in our success and that we give back to the communities and people within which we work. Never short of ambition, the success of our business is delivered through the diverse and talented team of over 2,200 global colleagues. We are now looking for a visionary Principal Engineer to help define the next generation of our platform.

We're now growing our team in Poland and want to be upfront about how this role is structured. As we don't yet have a legal entity in Poland, we work with an Employer of Record (EOR) or umbrella company to onboard talent in the region. This means the role is offered on a 2 year fixed term basis via an international contractor agreement — and is fully remote.

As we continue to evolve our web platforms and digital capabilities, we’re looking for a talented Web Engineer to help shape the future of our technology ecosystem.

This is more than just a React role. You’ll be joining a collaborative engineering environment where innovation, scalability, accessibility, and customer experience sit at the heart of everything we build.

If you’re passionate about modern web technologies, enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, and want to influence large-scale enterprise platforms used globally — we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Web Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering sophisticated, scalable web applications and tooling that support regional teams and global clients alike.

You’ll:

Design and build high-quality web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern front-end architecture principles
Help evolve our core web platform and shared engineering capabilities
Work across technologies including Next.js, Node.js, Express, and GraphQL
Develop accessible, responsive, and visually polished experiences aligned to WCAG standards
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to translate ideas into scalable solutions
Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
Champion agile ways of working, code quality, peer reviews, and continuous delivery practices
Contribute to architectural decisions, planning sessions, and technical strategy discussions
Use analytics and customer insights to inform engineering and UX decisions
Support the evolution of cloud-native solutions using AWS and Terraform

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with curiosity, collaboration, and a customer-first mindset.

You’ll Bring:

Strong commercial experience building modern web applications with React
Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern JavaScript development
Experience with state management solutions such as Redux and React Context
Strong understanding of scalable front-end architecture and engineering best practices
Expertise in modern styling approaches using CSS, SCSS, or Less
Passion for building accessible digital experiences
Experience delivering enterprise-scale web solutions in fast-paced environments
Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture
Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering communities
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams

Bonus Points If You Have Experience With:

Headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, Prismic, Sanity, or dotCMS
Multilingual/global websites
Cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code
PCI DSS compliant products
Emerging technologies including Web 3.0, AI, AR/VR, or decentralised technologies

We offer:

The chance to shape large-scale global digital platforms
A collaborative and supportive engineering culture
