Senior Brand Manager in VCC is responsible for Brand & P&L management as a total business owner.
Senior Brand Manager (Specialty lead, Band 31) oversees a wide array of business aspects below;
- Lead Specialty category’s business strategy and execution plans to reach company’s goals, by orchestrating close collaboration of key stakeholders.
- Lead and implementing comprehensive Specialty category marketing strategy that includes demand generation, new product launch. Accountable for end-to-end holistic Specialty brand experience & execution considering consumer, customer, professional and other required stakeholders in line with company business and master brand strategy.
- Partner closely with global team as No.1 potential market to shape global Specialty strategy together
- Lead ACUVUE® brands equity building in the Specialty category as a brand guardian.
- Responsible to take a lead on team building and talent development for internal members.
Duties & Responsibilities / 職務および職責
- Manage Specialty product portfolio development.
- Develop annual category business plans along with company-wide strategies and oversee execution with business model/product/marketing/customerexperience innovations.
- Lead brand strategy, value proposition development and key product claim development in line with the global strategy.
- Shape the Specialty innovation idea (not limited to product, rather including solutions like services or messages) for Japan market
- Influence and ensure Japan innovation ideas are translated into the Global strategies and plans as No.1 potential market (worth for investment).
- Accountable for forecasts, profitability and other aligned strategic KPI attainment for Specialty business.
- Accountable for executions covering brand, product, IMC, digital, shopper & trade marketing field to effectively achieve company’s short and mid/long term goals.
- Engage and coach Manager/ Associate manger to secure the quality of the executions and guide them for strategy development.

Professional and academic experience
- More than 3 years experience in the category/consumer/ brand marketing area. Lead role in marketing including new produc launch
- More than 3 year experience working in Cross-functional. Team lead experience of such diversed teams is a plus
- Experience working with R&D regarding new innovation and/or taking a brand champion role in HQ is a plus
- BA/BS degree (or higher) required. MBA is a plus
Skills and Competencies
- A strong influencer to lead a diverse group of internal and external team members and stakeholders across multiple business areas
- Comprehensive undestanding of the upstream to downstream brand marketing across value chain, not limited to ATL and BTL communication message and materials but ranges such as packaging, pricing and channel strategy, sales engagement
- Deep Knowledge in Japan market is required.
- Have an openness to continually drive productive change through agilie course correction with an ability to see the big picture, think ahead to define new approaches and take appropriate risks.
- Pro-active problem-solving abilities required.
- Powerful verbal and written communication skills are required including the ability to develop and present to Global and Japan Senior leadership (i.e., PowerPoint, in-person, email)
- Ability to manage multiple project timelines, budgets, and project resources with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment required
- Fluent English in writing, verbal communication and presentation enough to shape global agenda, get credibility and attain global support

- 全社戦略に沿った年間ビジネスプランを策定し、ビジネスモデル／製品／マーケティング／カスタマーエクスペリエンスなどのイノベーションを伴う実行を統括する。
- グローバル戦略に沿って、ブランド戦略、バリュープロポジション、主要製品クレームの開発をリードする。
- 日本市場向けに、製品だけに限らない（サービスやメッセージなどを含む）スペシャリティ領域のイノベーションアイデアを形成する。
- 日本市場のイノベーションアイデアを、投資価値のあるNo.1ポテンシャル市場として、グローバル戦略とプランに反映させるよう働きかける。
- スペシャリティ事業におけるフォーキャスト、収益性、その他合意された戦略KPIの達成に責任を持つ。
- 会社の短期および中長期目標の達成に向けて、ブランド、製品、IMC、デジタル、ショッパー＆トレードマーケティング領域での施策実行を包括的に管理する。
- マネージャー／アソシエイトマネージャーと協働し、実行の品質を確保し、戦略立案を支援・指導する。

- 大卒以上（MBAあれば尚可）
