About the Role
You own editing for all video content at Torus — public-facing and internal alike, from customer-facing marketing videos to internal training and documentation. The craft that matters most here is storytelling: taking raw footage and complex, technical subject matter and shaping it into content that holds a viewer's attention, whatever the audience or purpose. You'll run the full post-production workflow yourself: editing, audio, color, captions, and exports across formats and aspect ratios. You'll also support filming and on-set production when a shoot calls for it.
Responsibilities
- Own editing and post-production for all Torus video content — public-facing marketing and customer video, as well as internal training and documentation
- Shape raw footage and technical subject matter into well-structured, engaging stories, adapting pacing and tone to the audience and purpose of each piece
- Edit across a range of formats: short-form social cuts, longer-form explainers, customer testimonials, internal training content, and event or facility footage
- Maintain consistent visual and brand standards across all video output
- Support filming and on-set production as needed, including camera operation and lighting
- Keep up with editing techniques, platform specs, and tools relevant to video distribution
- Manage footage and project files from ingest to archive, including organizing, backing up, and following our naming and folder conventions.
Required Experience
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio showing range across formats
- Strong storytelling instinct and a proven ability to structure and pace an edit so it holds attention, not just assemble footage
- Comfortable working in DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro
- Full post-production workflow experience: editing, audio, color grading, captions, multi-platform export
- Based in Utah, with the ability to be on-site at GigaOne as shoots require
Preferred Experience
- Experience editing both public-facing marketing content and internal training/documentation video
- Experience editing for B2B, energy, compute, deep tech, or another technical industry
- Camera operation and lighting experience for on-set production support
- Working knowledge of After Effects or similar motion graphics tools
- Basic photo editing experience in Photoshop or Lightroom
