Video Editor – Short-Form & Ad Creative

Remote | Philippines-Based | Full-Time | Paid in USD$4.50 – $7.50 USD/hour (approx. ₱48,000 – ₱80,000/month full-time; varies with exchange rate)

Can you take raw footage and turn it into a scroll-stopping ad? Do you know why a viewer drops off at second 3 — and how to re-cut the hook so they don't? If editing is your craft and volume doesn't scare you, keep reading.

We're hiring a Video Editor on behalf of a U.S.-based marketing agency serving home service and remodeling brands. You'll produce the video creative that powers real ad campaigns — working alongside a team of media buyers and copywriters whose campaigns live or die on the quality of your edits. When your video converts, everyone sees it in the numbers.

This is a production role with real output expectations: a minimum of 30 edited pieces of content per week. If you're fast, consistent, and take pride in clean work at volume, you'll thrive here.

What You'll Do

Editing & Production

Edit a minimum of 30 pieces of content per week — primarily short-form vertical video (ads, social clips, talking-head content, before/after project footage)
Cut raw client footage into polished, caption-ready edits with strong hooks, tight pacing, and clean audio
Produce multiple variations of winning ads (new hooks, new CTAs, new openers) for A/B testing
Format deliverables correctly for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube placements

Collaboration

Work directly with media buyers to understand which creatives are performing and iterate on winners
Turn copywriters' scripts and hooks into finished video
Manage your queue through the team's project management system and hit deadlines without chasing

Organization & Quality

Maintain organized project files, brand assets, and templates for each client
Apply client branding consistently (logos, colors, fonts, end cards)
Self-review every edit before delivery — clean captions, no dead frames, correct aspect ratios

What We're Looking For

2+ years of hands-on video editing experience
Deep proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut — fast enough in your tool of choice to hit 6 finished edits per day
A portfolio of short-form edits: ads, reels, TikToks, or YouTube Shorts
Strong instincts for hooks, pacing, and retention — you edit for the viewer who's about to scroll away
Experience creating captions/subtitles and editing for sound-off viewing
Organized, deadline-driven, and consistent — volume work requires systems, not heroics
Reliable home office setup with an editing-capable computer and stable, high-speed internet
Availability for a consistent Monday–Friday full-time schedule with at least 3–4 hours of overlap with U.S. Pacific business hours for team communication (the rest of your day is flexible)

Nice to Have

Experience using AI tools in your workflow (Runway, Descript, ElevenLabs, CapCut AI features, Midjourney, HeyGen, or similar) — we love editors who use AI to go faster without losing quality
After Effects / motion graphics skills
Experience editing direct-response ad creative with measurable results
Experience with home services, construction, or local business content
Thumbnail or static creative design skills (Canva, Photoshop)

When you apply, include the word FRAMEWORK in the "Anything else you'd like us to know?" field. This is how we know you read the full post.

What's Included

$4.50 – $7.50 USD/hour, paid in USD (approx. ₱48,000 – ₱80,000/month full-time) — placement in the band depends on speed, skill level, and portfolio, with a formal review at 90 days
Performance bonuses tied to creative performance and output consistency
HMO coverage on your terms — after 90 days, choose the HMO plan that fits you (and your family), and we cover it through a monthly healthcare benefit. You pick the provider; we pay for it.
Fully remote, full-time position
Growth path into a Senior Editor / Creative Lead role as the team scales
Work with a fast-moving U.S.-based marketing team in the home service industry

How to Apply

Complete the application below. You'll be asked to share a link to 3–5 of your best short-form edits and briefly describe one of them: what the goal was, and the editing choices you made to hit it. Applications without a portfolio link will not advance.

We read every qualified application personally. No fees are charged at any stage of hiring, ever.
