This role combines creative storytelling, advanced editing techniques, motion graphics, and sound design to bring exciting toys, games, and sports products to life. You will produce both cinematic brand videos and fast-paced direct-response advertisements designed to perform across digital platforms. From scroll-stopping hooks for paid social campaigns to energetic short-form content for organic channels, your work will directly influence brand visibility and sales growth. You will collaborate with a creative and ambitious e-commerce team in a fast-growing environment where experimentation, speed, and originality are valued. This is an opportunity to take creative ownership, shape the visual identity of exciting physical products, and contribute to the expansion of a growing direct-to-consumer brand.

• Create high-performing paid advertisements: Edit creator footage and product videos into compelling, scroll-stopping advertisements for Meta, Instagram, and other relevant digital channels, using strong hooks, clear product benefits, and persuasive storytelling.
• Produce engaging organic content: Create energetic short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms, ensuring each edit reflects the dynamic, playful, and competitive nature of the products.
• Deliver advanced visual effects: Apply motion graphics, on-screen text, tracking, speed ramps, impact frames, camera shakes, transitions, and other effects to emphasize key moments and enhance visual engagement.
• Master sound design: Incorporate sound effects for product interactions, impacts, movements, and transitions. Synchronize cuts with music and action while selecting soundtracks that strengthen the mood, energy, and overall impact of each video.
• Produce cinematic brand content: Create polished, high-quality hero videos for product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand storytelling initiatives, ensuring strong visual composition and professional production standards.
• Optimize direct-response creatives: Develop performance-focused edits that communicate product value quickly, maintain audience attention, and encourage viewers to take action.
• Create creative variations for testing: Produce multiple hooks, opening sequences, and alternative versions of successful advertisements to support rapid experimentation and performance optimization.
• Balance creativity and commercial objectives: Adapt editing styles to suit different campaign goals, audience segments, and distribution channels while maintaining consistency with the brand's visual identity.
• Manage editing workflows efficiently: Deliver projects within agreed timelines, maintain organized file structures, label and store assets correctly, and communicate progress proactively.
• Collaborate with the creative team: Work closely with creators and e-commerce stakeholders to understand campaign objectives, incorporate feedback, and deliver content aligned with product launches and marketing priorities.
• Maintain high creative standards: Stay current with short-form video trends, editing techniques, and advertising formats while continuously refining content quality, pacing, and audience engagement.

Requirements

• Strong editing portfolio: A compelling portfolio demonstrating exceptional video editing skills is essential. The quality and impact of your work will be the primary consideration during the selection process.
• Direct-to-consumer advertising experience: Proven experience editing advertisements for physical consumer products sold through direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, ideally with examples of creatives used in live campaigns.
• Advanced editing capabilities: Strong command of video editing techniques, including transitions, motion graphics, visual effects, speed manipulation, tracking, and dynamic text animation.
• Sound design expertise: Ability to create immersive, precisely timed soundscapes using sound effects, music, and audio transitions to amplify action and strengthen storytelling.
• Short-form content expertise: A strong understanding of what makes viewers stop scrolling, continue watching, rewatch, engage with, and share short-form videos.
• Performance marketing awareness: Understanding of direct-response creative principles, advertising hooks, product positioning, and the importance of communicating selling points quickly and effectively.
• Creative versatility: Ability to produce both high-end cinematic content and fast-paced, conversion-focused advertisements, or demonstrate exceptional expertise in at least one of these styles.
• Speed and attention to detail: Ability to deliver high-quality edits quickly without compromising creativity, technical accuracy, or production standards.
• Organization and reliability: Strong file management, attention to detail, deadline management, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and provide regular project updates.
• Adaptability and collaboration: Openness to feedback, willingness to experiment with creative approaches, and ability to collaborate effectively with creators and marketing teams in a remote environment.
• Relevant industry experience: Experience editing content for sports, gaming, toys, entertainment, or other visually engaging physical product brands is an advantage.
