Manufacturing Process Improvement Intern
Duration: Long-term (May 31, 2027 - April 28, 2028) Full-time until mid-August, then part-time max. 20 hours/week
The Quality Assurance team plays a critical role in supporting production and ensuring adherence to quality standards across the facility. Working closely with operations, the team focuses on maintaining standard procedures, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing solutions that enhance product quality and operational performance.
What You'll Do
As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in quality systems, continuous improvement, and manufacturing processes by:
- Assisting with internal and process audits to support compliance with quality standards and procedures.
- Participating in continuous improvement teams and projects focused on enhancing operational performance.
- Supporting the implementation of improvement initiatives and small-scale projects across the plant.
- Collecting and analyzing data through observations, measurements, and process reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assisting in investigating process deviations, quality concerns, and areas of operational loss.
- Contributing to the development and documentation of new or revised standard operating procedures.
- Creating training materials and visual aids to support process improvements and standardization.
- Supporting the delivery of training sessions and employee awareness initiatives.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of implemented improvements and conducting follow-up activities to ensure sustainability.
- Collaborating with Quality Assurance Technicians and cross-functional teams to support daily production operations.
