We're supporting a large, global manufacturing environment rolling out a
Unified Namespace (UNS)
as part of a wider Industrial Data and Digital Manufacturing programme.
This is a
hands-on UNS Data Engineering role
, focused on building and operating a central data broker that connects OT and IT systems in real time. You'll be right at the centre of how industrial data is structured, governed, and consumed across sites in APAC.
If you enjoy working close to the data, dealing with real-world manufacturing systems, and building something that becomes the backbone for analytics, AI and MES use cases, this will suit you.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and support a
Unified Namespace (UNS)
using
Litmus UNS
as the data broker
Implement MQTT-based publish/subscribe patterns for real-time industrial data
Define and manage data models, naming conventions, and topic structures within the UNS
Integrate data from OT systems (PLC, SCADA, historians, MES) into the central namespace
Support downstream consumers including analytics platforms, dashboards, and enterprise systems
Ensure data quality, reliability, security, and performance of the UNS environment
Work closely with OT, IT, and data teams across multiple sites in APAC
Contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices for UNS adoption
Required Experience
Strong
Data Engineering
background, ideally in industrial, manufacturing, or IoT environments
Hands-on experience with
MQTT
and real-time data streaming architectures
Experience working with
Litmus UNS
, Litmus Edge, or similar UNS / industrial data platforms
Solid understanding of data modelling, data pipelines, and data governance
Comfortable working across OT and IT boundaries
Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting data flows
Strong communication skills and ability to work with global stakeholders
Nice to Have
Experience with SCADA, PLCs, MES, or industrial historians
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience feeding UNS data into analytics or AI platforms
Prior work on multi-site or global manufacturing programmes
