Government administrative/HR support role with the Illinois Air National Guard at Scott AFB (GS-0303-7, Title 5). Day to day, the coordinator assists the lead Customer Service Section with personnel actions (promotions, evaluations, awards, leave), maintains personnel files and databases, tracks training requirements, and compiles data for reports and briefings.
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T6377000 and is part of the IL 126, National Guard.
As a UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR (TITLE 5), GS-0303-7, you will assists the lead CSS in managing daily administrative and unit-level support, executes assigned programs in line with the Personnel Services Delivery Guide (PSDG), and supports training of personnel to maintain mission readiness and compliance with Air Force policies. Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Supports the administration of military personnel management programs including requesting personnel actions such as promotions, evaluations, awards, and leave. Provides customer service and guidance on organizational personnel policies and procedures. Monitors personnel records and supports preparation of routine personnel actions with guidance from higher graded HR Specialist. Assists with maintaining personnel files and electronic records in accordance with Air Force, Air National Guard, and local directives. Participates in tracking training requirements for assigned organization and helps coordinate developmental opportunities.( Assists commanders, supervisors, and employees in understanding personnel policies and procedures. Collects, compiles, and organizes data for reports and briefings. Assists in maintaining accuracy of personnel records and databases, in accordance with established guidelines. Supports the workflow and assists with assignments among administrative personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks Assists higher graded specialists in areas critical to unit operations, ensuring adherence to Air Force policies.

Head of Agency requests to exceed 14 days in a calendar year must be approved in advance by the National Guard, Director of Manpower and Personnel (NGB-J1) May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
