About the Opportunity:

Our client, an established organisation within the general insurance sector, is seeking a motivated professional to join its commercial insurance team.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys assessing business risks, managing insurance portfolios and building strong relationships with corporate customers and business partners.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting portfolio performance, maintaining underwriting standards and ensuring a smooth experience throughout the insurance lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and assess commercial insurance submissions, determine appropriate coverage terms and provide competitive quotations within established risk parameters.
• Support business portfolio growth while maintaining sound underwriting profitability.
• Manage policy renewals, prepare coverage proposals and follow up on existing accounts to encourage continued business relationships.
• Serve as a key contact for corporate customers and distribution partners, responding to policy-related matters and providing timely assistance.
• Compile periodic portfolio updates and operational reports for management review.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve workflow efficiency and support broader business initiatives.

Requirements:

• Diploma or higher qualification in any discipline.
• Certificate in General Insurance.
• Familiarity with commercial insurance products and underwriting processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A collaborative team player who can work independently when required.
