About the Role
PPC (formerly Philips Projects Centre) is a wholly Nigerian-owned multi-competency engineering and infrastructure development company providing specialized end-to-end services across ICT, Power, Healthcare, Transportation, Building Services and other utility sectors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Treasury Management
- Monitor availability of funds, all bank balances and request fund transfers when necessary.
- Prepare monthly and revised weekly cash forecasts.
- Prepare monthly variance analyses of actual cash collections against forecasts.
- Liaise with banks on all cash and related matters.
- Review cheque vouchers.
- Supervise daily cash counts.
- Prepare weekly bank position statements.
- Conduct regular cash audits.
- Process documents required for foreign transactions.
2. Portfolio Management
- Process investments of idle funds with banks.
- Prepare and maintain schedules of interest on invested funds.
- Maintain proper records of investment certificates.
Requirements
1. Education
- B.Sc. in Accounting or equivalent.
2. Professional Qualifications
- ICAN
- ACCA
3. Experience
- 5 years post-qualification experience.
4. Key Competencies
Technical
- Strong appreciation of treasury and cash management, including cash forecasting, loans, investments, etc.
- Knowledge of processes and documents required for international transactions.
- Good appreciation of the Nigerian capital and money markets.
- Accounting skills.
- Strong business acumen and ability to recognize and take advantage of opportunities.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong business ethics and high level of integrity.
- Knowledge of basic information technology/Microsoft Office tools.
