Trade Marketing & VM Manager

As our Trade Marketing & VM Manager, you will join a team that leads with kindness, dreams big and takes action together, owning how Elizabeth Scarlett shows up in every wholesale partner's space - from sales tools, VM displays and our B2B Shopify site and Klaviyo newsletters, to trade shows and events across the UK and US.

💰 Salary: £45,000 – £50,000

👩 Reporting to: Head of Sales

📍 Location: Potters Bar

🏙 Hybrid: 1 days per week in Potters Bar, 1 day national travel to partner sites and trade shows

📝 Employment type: Full Time

Why this role matters ✨

A large part of Elizabeth Scarlett's growth runs through our wholesale partners, and this role is how they experience the brand. You'll own trade marketing end to end: our B2B site, the Klaviyo newsletters that keep stockists informed and inspired, the sales tools our account managers rely on, and the activations and events where we win customers we'd never reach otherwise. You'll also own VM and display execution across our partner doors, making sure every stand and fixture reflects our brand strategy as faithfully as our own channels do.

Artistry sits at the heart of everything we make, from our hand-painted designs to the stories behind them, and we want that same creativity in how we show up in trade. You'll bring fresh ideas, a strong visual eye and the confidence to try things that haven't been done before, so our brand feels as distinctive in a partner's store as it does in our own.

This is your chance to shape how premium doors like John Lewis and Fortnum & Mason see and sell the brand, from the first email they open to the moment our collection lands on their shop floor. And you'll turn a fixed trade marketing budget into work that pays for itself in new accounts and stronger sell-through.

What you will be doing 🚀

1. Own the Trade Marketing Calendar, Budget & Sales Tools

• Managing Trade Marketing spend to given budgets
• Create VM guidelines, training decks and selling videos that help new premium doors launch well.
• Manage the B2B Shopify site and build commercial trade newsletters in Klaviyo.

2. Own Events, Trade Shows & Brand Activations

• Brief, budget, source suppliers for, staff and deliver trade shows and events end to end - form concepts through to on-site execution.
• Report post-event ROI so we know what each show or activation actually returned.
• Plan and deliver brand activations with key retail partners, framed as customer-acquisition moments.
• Build the seasonal activation plan that keeps partner-facing activity on-brand and in-season.

3. Own VM, POS & Showroom Kit

• Design, source and roll out best-in-class VM displays and POS across every wholesale partner.
• Own the showroom, samples and seasonal refreshes, keeping them a true reflection of the brand.
• Build and maintain a black book of suppliers, fabricators and printers who can deliver at pace.
• Represent Elizabeth Scarlett in person at trade shows, showroom visits and partner sites as a confident brand ambassador.

4. Own US Trade Marketing

• Adapt the trade marketing calendar, VM/POS approach and activation plan for US retail partners alongside the UK.
• Navigate different US retail cultures, timelines and partner expectations.
• Build US-specific supplier and partner relationships as the market grows.

Who we are looking for 🧳

1. Mindset

• A display is never just a display. Whether it's a stand, a POS unit or a showroom shelf, you see every as a piece of the Elizabeth Scarlett story - not a box to tick off a list.
• Resourceful by nature. No display yet? Is a partner's space awkward? You'll take it in your stride and find a way to make it happen.
• An end-to-end owner, not a hand-off artist. From the newsletters that inspire interest - through to sourcing, budgeting and setting up sites, you’re proud to take full ownership
• An eye for design, a head for numbers. Beautiful ideas, tight budget? You'll find the version that works for both, sell-in and sell-through included.

2. Must-have skills

• Confident in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) and Figma for high-quality trade marketing assets.
• Experience with Shopify and Klaviyo.
• Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel nationally at least 2 days a week.
• A portfolio of creative, brand-led work
• Comfortable owning a budget and building a supplier network from scratch.

3. Nice-to-have

• An existing black book of suppliers, fabricators, printers or event contacts.
• Experience launching brands into prestige UK doors

4. Experience

• Likely 3+ years in a similar Trade Marketing, VM or Events role
• Senior-level experience with national, prestige UK retail partners, comfortable across UK and US retail cultures, timelines and expectations.
• Backgrounds we value: fashion, homeware, lifestyle, gifting or beauty brands with a wholesale or trade channel.

5. Values fit

• Kind, collaborative and uplifting.
• Excited to join a purpose-led brand blending creativity, commerciality and conservation.
• You treat the brand's value as something to protect — from a display's finish to a supplier contract's margin.
• You move fast and learn as you go, happy to try an activation format for the first time and iterate from there.
• You care visibly about how a display looks and feels in person, not on a deck.

What success looks like 🎯

At 6 months, you’ll have built a brilliant black book of trusted suppliers, delivered your first event or activation with a clear link to D2C acquisition, and brought our seasonal lookbooks, VM updates and sales tools to life. You’ll be confidently managing and developing our B2B site and delivering engaging, commercially focused Klaviyo newsletters - all while keeping us on budget across the UK and US.

At 12 months, you’ll have built a strong rhythm across our UK and US trade marketing activity, successfully delivered seasonal activations and campaigns, and created a suite of beautiful, commercially useful tools that help our wholesale partners sell the brand. You’ll have built strong relationships, managed budgets and suppliers confidently, and become a real driving force behind how Elizabeth Scarlett comes to life beyond our own channels.

You’re probably not the right fit if…

• You prefer to be given a detailed brief rather than enjoy shaping the idea and figuring out how to bring it to life.
• You’re looking for a purely creative role - this one is as much about commercial thinking, organisation and making things happen.
• You’d rather hand a problem over than roll your sleeves up and find a practical way through it.
• You don’t enjoy being close to the action - this role is hands-on, collaborative and involves being involved from the initial idea right through to seeing it come to life.
• You’d prefer to stay behind a desk - there’s freedom to travel, visit stores, meet partners and suppliers, and be where the brand is coming to life.
• You don’t enjoy the detail that sits behind great execution - from suppliers and budgets to VM, sales tools and timelines.
• You prefer working within one channel or market rather than having the variety of UK and US wholesale, B2B, CRM, VM and activations.
