Junior Software Engineer Arbejdsgiver Neurons Taastrup Full-time Salary Competitive Build, Learn, and Shape the Future of Predictive AI At Neurons, we're revolutionizing how brands understand and engage with people. By combining state-of-the-art AI with deep neuroscience insights, we enable companies to predict consumer responses in seconds—transforming marketing into something truly predictive and actionable. We're looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Product & Engineering team. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful products, learn from experienced engineers, and grow your skills while contributing to technology that's used by leading global brands. You'll be part of a collaborative team that prides itself on delivering high-quality products that our customers genuinely value. From day one, you'll contribute to real product features while receiving the support, feedback, and mentorship you need to develop as a software engineer. If you're curious, enjoy solving problems, and want to see your work make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you. How We Work At Neurons, we believe success comes from empowered engineers solving customer problems directly. We continuously optimize our team structure and processes to support this mindset. Our SDLC evolves constantly. Rather than sticking to a rigid framework, we adopt what works for the current situation and discard what doesn't. We follow the core tenets of Shape Up, giving engineers the context and focus to achieve ambitious goals in 6-week cycles. For each cycle, small teams (2-3 engineers) form to tackle specific features or problems. Each cycle is followed by a 2-3 week cooldown focused on technical debt, bugs, learning, and platform enhancements—ensuring a healthy balance between new features, continuous improvement, and long-term stability. What You'll Be Driving Build Features Across the Platform You'll contribute to both backend and frontend development, working alongside experienced engineers to build features that deliver real value to our customers. From APIs to user interfaces, you'll have the opportunity to work across the full stack and learn how our platform scales. What helps you succeed: Experience with Python (ideally Django or FastAPI) or a willingness to learn. Some experience with TypeScript and React through work, studies, or personal projects. A genuine interest in building products that customers love. Deliver Customer Value Working closely with product, design, and engineering, you'll help turn ideas into working software. You'll contribute to features from concept to deployment while developing your technical skills along the way. What helps you succeed: Curiosity and a collaborative mindset. A desire to understand customer problems and build thoughtful solutions. Confidence asking questions and learning from feedback. Write Quality Code You'll learn and apply engineering best practices by writing clean, maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and contributing to testing. As you grow, you'll gain confidence building software that's reliable, scalable, and easy to maintain. What helps you succeed: A solid understanding of software development fundamentals. An interest in writing clean, well-tested code. Attention to detail and a desire to continuously improve. Learn and Grow with the Team You'll work closely with experienced engineers who will support your development through mentoring, collaboration, and regular feedback. As your confidence grows, you'll gradually take on more responsibility and ownership. What helps you succeed: A growth mindset and eagerness to learn. Enjoyment working in a collaborative environment. Taking ownership of your work while knowing when to ask for support. What Success Looks Like You contribute meaningful features and improvements that create value for our customers. You grow into an increasingly confident full stack engineer. You write clean, maintainable code and embrace engineering best practices. You collaborate effectively with your teammates and contribute to a supportive engineering culture. You continuously develop your technical skills and take on increasing ownership as you grow. The Experience That Helps You Succeed While there's no single "perfect" background, we think the ideal candidate will bring many of the following: 0-2 years of professional experience, internships, university projects, or personal projects building web applications. Experience with Python (Django or FastAPI is a plus), or a strong desire to learn. Familiarity with TypeScript, React, or another modern frontend framework. A solid understanding of software development fundamentals, including APIs, Git, databases, and object-oriented programming. An eagerness to learn modern engineering practices such as testing, CI/CD, and cloud-based development. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset—you enjoy working closely with others and learning from experienced teammates. A curious mindset—you enjoy learning new technologies, understanding customer problems, and continuously improving your skills. Join the Neurons Movement!
