About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Test Analyst to join our Digital Solutions team. As a quality advocate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable and secure digital solutions that support NZHG's digital strategy and business objectives.
Working closely with business leaders, project teams, vendors and stakeholders, you will champion quality throughout the delivery lifecycle, helping to identify risks early, improve testing practices and ensure solutions deliver exceptional outcomes for our people and the communities we support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing and maintaining comprehensive test suites for business projects and system enhancements.
- Delivering high-quality testing services across web, mobile, desktop and integrated business applications.
- Performing manual testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), API testing and data validation activities.
- Collaborating with vendors and project teams to identify risks, edge cases and quality concerns early in the delivery process.
- Reviewing requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, testable and fit for purpose.
- Coordinating and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Business Acceptance Testing (BAT).
- Recording, managing and tracking defects through to resolution.
- Conducting exploratory testing to identify quality risks and usability issues.
- Developing and maintaining automated test suites to improve efficiency and quality outcomes.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across testing and quality assurance practices.
This a permanent position working 32 hours across Monday to Friday 830am to 5pm and based in Auckland.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused testing professional who is passionate about quality, problem solving and delivering great customer outcomes. You will enjoy working across both business and technical teams and be confident navigating complex systems and projects.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 3-5 years' experience in a Test Analyst, Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering role.
- Experience supporting test planning, coordination and delivery across medium to large-scale projects.
- Strong experience testing web, mobile, desktop and API-based applications.
- Experience creating and executing SQL queries for data validation and testing activities.
- Experience with functional testing, System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- The ability to design effective test cases and test scenarios from business requirements and user stories.
- Experience with test automation tools, ideally UiPath testing solutions.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and quality outcomes.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering solutions that meet business and customer needs.
