About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical writers and content strategists to implement complex content strategies, ensuring consistent, harmonized, and compliant content quality while managing version control and implementation requirements.
- Write clear and concise Instructions for Use (IFUs) for medical devices and applications, following content guidelines and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure user understanding.
- Support the development and implementation of content strategies and best practices to improve consistency, content reuse, single sourcing, and topic-based authoring.
- Maintain and apply style guides, taxonomies, and glossaries to ensure consistent terminology and voice across digital and print deliverables.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and teams to build alignment and consensus.
- Support migration initiatives to a Component Content Management System (CCMS).
- Provide editorial expertise and recommendations to optimize structured authoring processes and content reuse.
- Manage content development activities and governance processes.
- Support schema validation and publication testing activities.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies, including the implementation of AI-powered applications within a regulated environment.
Requirements
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Content Strategy, Library Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Professional Experience
- Proven expertise in technical writing using structured authoring methodologies, particularly XML, DITA, and Component Content Management Systems (CCMS).
- Experience with oxygen Web Author and Componize CCMS is highly desirable.
- Experience participating in iterative design processes.
- Experience working within regulated and clinical environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles and processes.
- Medical writing experience is preferred.
- Medical industry experience, particularly in cardiology, is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of quality assurance (QA) risk assessment methodologies and human factors (HF) testing processes.

The base salary considered for this position would be between $70,000 to $85,000 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation in addition to the base salary.
