Automation engineer at Worldline's Pune office who builds and maintains Selenium (Java) web test automation frameworks using Maven and the Page Object Model, integrates them into CI/CD pipelines, and leads the adoption of UiPath for robotic process automation of business processes.
We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to ensure the highest quality of our software products. Your primary focus will be on web automation using Selenium with Java, while simultaneously driving the strategic adoption and implementation of UiPath for broader process automation.
Day-to-day responsibilities
Test Automation & Technical Development
Design and Maintenance: Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium (Java) and Maven, following the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
Process Automation: Lead the technical evaluation and introduction of UiPath within our organization to automate repetitive business processes.
Script Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to support both automated functional testing and robotic process automation (RPA).
Continuous Improvement: Optimize existing scripts and frameworks to reduce technical debt and increase execution speed and reliability.
Collaboration & Strategy
Tool Integration: Manage the integration of automation tools into our existing CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment cycles.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify high-value automation opportunities.
Best Practices: Define and enforce coding standards and best practices for automation across the engineering department.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for automated test suites, RPA workflows, and technical procedures.
Who are we looking for
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Proficiency: Solid experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
Framework Knowledge: Proven track record in building frameworks from scratch using Maven and the Page Object Model (POM).
RPA Experience: Practical experience or strong willingness to lead the implementation of UiPath.
General Skills: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools, and CI/CD concepts.
Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to automation strategy.
Language: Fluent in English (German language skills are a plus).
