Technical Program Manager (f/m/x) - Algorithmic Energy Trading

Are you an organized, tech-savvy driver who thrives on bridging the gap between product ambitions and complex engineering execution? Do you excel at spotting blockers early, bringing structure to fast-moving tech teams, and driving critical initiatives over the finish line?

Join us at suena energy as our Technical Program Manager (f/m/x) and act as the core coordination layer that empowers our engineering department to deliver seamlessly.

suena energy is a green tech startup specializing in algorithmic energy trading for battery storage systems and renewable assets.

Our vision: a world where clean energy is used reliably, economically, and intelligently. With our AI-based optimization and trading software, we maximize the revenues of operators of large-scale energy storage and renewables on short-term electricity and balancing markets - while minimizing risks.

We’re a team of more than 60 people, combining a warm, supportive team culture with true startup drive. Following our successful Series A, we’re investing in expanding our team – and we’re excited to strengthen our team with new talent and continue growing together.

• You act as the central coordination layer across Tech teams, establishing clear alignment and making sure technical requests, dependencies, and deliveries run smoothly without getting lost in the shuffle.
• You translate Product, Commercial, and Trading requirements into actionable technical delivery plans, breaking down complex scope alongside Tech Leads.
• You own project timelines, proactively flag risks, and communicate transparently with stakeholders to maintain steady execution momentum across engineering.
• You serve as a strong counterpart to Product, asking the right questions, helping prioritize work effectively, and pushing back constructively when requests or timelines are unrealistic.
• You spot technical blockers and cross-team dependencies early, bringing the right engineers and teams together at the right time to resolve issues fast.
• You reduce organizational overhead for technical leadership, stepping in to optimize cross-team workflows, track delivery progress, and foster clear ownership.

• 4+ years in technical program management, project management, or driving delivery within complex software engineering environments.
• Preferably a technical background or strong technical understanding that enables you to dive into technical discussions, evaluate feasibility, and be a driver instead of just an "information courier."
• Strong soft skills, outstanding organizational ability, and clear judgment - you take full ownership, know when and how to say "no," and bring clarity to ambiguous situations.
• An agile, proactive, and fast-learning mindset with a strong drive to get things done in a fast-evolving technical landscape.
• Fluent communication skills in English; German language skills are a nice bonus, but not required.
• Domain knowledge in energy markets, algorithmic trading, or renewables is a big plus

• People at the Core: Clear structures, democratic decisions, and a feedback culture where your voice counts.
• Shape the Future: Contribute to the energy transition by working on sustainable energy solutions in a growing market environment.
• Connecting & Co-Creating: Strategy off-sites and onsite weeks for real collaboration and shared ideas.
• Work Your Way: Home office and flexible hours – you know what works best for you and your team.
• Good Vibes:Yoga, shared lunches, after-work fun – we keep the energy up, even when it's busy.
• Body & Mind: Urban Sports Club membership, wellbeing check-ins, and mental health support – your energy matters.
• New Office: 10th-floor office with rooftop terrace, canteen, great views, ergonomic desks, hardware of your choice, and a pet-friendly environment.
• Sustainable Extras: Deutschlandticket, FutureBens, and more – supporting your mobility and future.
