Join the Team Modernizing Medicine

Job Description Summary:

The Mission

At ModMed, we are placing doctors and patients at the center of care through an intelligent, specialty-specific cloud platform. We are looking for a Technical Product Owner who doesn’t just manage a backlog, but actively shapes a world where software increases medical-practice success and improves patient outcomes.

The Role

You will serve as the strategic bridge between vision and velocity. As the liaison for our Practice Management product, you will leverage your deep medical billing knowledge and technical SQL skills to translate complex business needs into groundbreaking AI and automation-driven features.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Drive the AI Revolution: You won't just follow a roadmap; you’ll elicit, analyze, and validate requirements for AI-driven logic and automation triggers that redefine the "modern" in ModMed.

• Innovate Boldly: Translate business needs into high-fidelity functional requirements, including technical specifications and workflow diagrams that define the future of practice automation.

• Save Time (Quantifiably): Identify operational bottlenecks using data-driven metrics and propose automation solutions that reduce manual effort and maximize financial outcomes for our clients.

• Collaborate & Align: Partner with Engineering and Product Management to navigate the development lifecycle—addressing edge cases, ensuring scalability, and maintaining the highest standards of model accuracy.

• Champion Change: Coordinate alpha/beta programs to gather the "voice of the customer," ensuring our AI initiatives create genuine Customer Delight before they hit the general market.

• Think Big: Support release readiness by creating the "source of truth" documentation and training materials that empower our internal teams to succeed.

What You Bring

• Healthcare Core: You have deep-rooted experience in Healthcare or Practice Management. You understand the heartbeat of a medical office.

• Technical Edge: You are proficient in SQL for data validation and problem investigation. You enjoy "looking under the hood" to ensure data integrity.

• The "Automation" Mindset: You are fascinated by AI capabilities and have the analytical rigor to design solutions that are compliant, scalable, and intuitive.

• Communication Mastery: You can explain complex AI logic to a stakeholder and technical constraints to a designer without breaking a sweat.

• Self-Starter DNA: You manage high-visibility projects with minimal supervision, balancing competing priorities with a focus on Doing Good.

Our Culture & Values

We believe in Aligning Passion with Purpose. At ModMed, you’ll find a team that moves fast, stays curious, and treats "fun" as a requirement, not an option.

• Create Customer Delight in every feature.

• Innovate Boldly, then make things happen.

• Save Time for the people who save lives.

Why ModMed?

• Innovation-First: Work on true AI/Automation projects that have a direct impact on healthcare providers.

• Specialty-Specific: We don’t do "one size fits all"—we build intelligent tools for specific medical needs.

• Growth: This is a high-visibility role with a direct line to product leadership and the opportunity to own a critical piece of our PM platform.

ModMed Benefits Highlight: At ModMed, we believe it’s important to offer a competitive benefits package designed to meet the diverse needs of our growing workforce. Eligible Modernizers can enroll in a wide range of benefits:

• Meals & Snacks: Enjoy complimentary office lunches & dinners on select days and healthy snacks delivered to your desk,
• Insurance Coverage: Comprehensive health, accidental, and life insurance plans, including coverage for family members, all at no cost to employees,
• Allowances: Annual wellness allowance to support your well-being and productivity,
• Earned, casual, and sick leaves to maintain a healthy work-life balance,
• Bereavement leave for difficult times and extended medical leave options,
• Paid parental leaves, including maternity, paternity, adoption, surrogacy, and abortion leave,
• Celebration leave to make your special day even more memorable, and company-paid holidays to recharge and unwind.
