Technical Product Manager at Verra Mobility – Australia_Melbour_Office | Jobyssey

Verra Mobility is a global road safety technology business partnering with governments, enforcement agencies and municipalities across Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States. We deliver technology-enabled road safety programs, including red-light, speed, school zone and school bus stop-arm camera solutions. Our work helps influence the everyday choices drivers make, so fewer people are hurt on our roads, and more families see their loved ones come home safely.

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to help drive AI-enabled product delivery across our road safety technology portfolio.

This is a hands-on role at the intersection of product, engineering, customers and AI-enabled workflows. Using tools such as Atlas Cloud, Jira, Confluence, Claude Code, Microsoft 365, Power Automate and MCP-enabled workflows, you will turn complex information into clear requirements, delivery priorities and product decisions.

You do not need to be a software engineer, but you must be technically literate, confident working with engineering teams and comfortable challenging decisions where design, quality or customer outcomes are at risk.

This is a permanent, full-time hybrid role, working from home and our head office in South Melbourne.

What you will do

Own product outcomes across one or more customer-facing programs.
Translate customer, operational and technical needs into clear PRDs, Jira backlog items and decision records.
Use AI-enabled workflows for requirements synthesis, document analysis, status reporting and specification development.
Work with engineering teams on architecture, integration, security, compliance and delivery decisions.
Maintain visibility across scope, risks, dependencies, quality and outcome drift across customer programs.
Prepare clear executive, customer-facing and technical documentation.
Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through better process design and AI-enabled workflows.

What you will bring

Experience in technical product management, product ownership, senior business analysis or technology delivery.
Strong technical literacy across architecture diagrams, API specifications, compliance frameworks and vendor proposals.
Confidence working with engineering teams on software, data, integration, security and delivery decisions.
Familiarity with AI workflows, command-line tools or platforms such as Atlas Cloud, Claude Code, Power Automate or MCP-enabled tools.
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence and Microsoft 365.
Strong written communication across PRDs, requirements, executive updates and decision records.
Ability to apply constraint-led prioritisation, turning ambiguity into clear priorities, actions and outcomes.
An ownership mindset, with the judgement to challenge constructively, close decision gaps and follow issues through.
Customer-facing experience in enterprise, government, regulated industry, road safety, SaaS or systems integration environments would be highly regarded.

Who are you?

You are a technically curious product professional with a bachelor’s degree in product, technology, business, systems, data, engineering or a related discipline, and 5+ years’ experience across technical product management, product ownership, senior business analysis, technology delivery or a related role.

Software engineering experience is not required, but strong technical literacy is essential.

Why work with us?

Join a global road safety technology business working on solutions that help make roads safer and communities better protected. You will be part of a practical AI-enabled product model, with real scope to shape how technical product work is documented, prioritised and delivered.
