The Technical Lead will architect and implement a scalable, automation-first test framework for eSIM/eSE products, focusing on Android device integration and embedded test benches. This hands-on role involves designing test flows, debugging system-level issues, and mentoring engineering teams to improve testing efficiency and quality.
Thales is a global technology leader trusted by governments, institutions, and enterprises to tackle their most demanding challenges. From quantum applications and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity and 6G innovation, our solutions empower critical decisions rooted in human intelligence. Operating at the forefront of aerospace and space, cybersecurity and digital identity, we’re driven by a mission to build a future we can all trust.
In Singapore, Thales has been a trusted partner since 1973, originally focused on aerospace activities in the Asia-Pacific region. With 2,000 employees across three local sites, we deliver cutting-edge solutions across aerospace (including air traffic management), defence and security, and digital identity and cybersecurity sectors. Together, we’re shaping the future by enabling customers to make pivotal decisions that safeguard communities and power progress.Thales Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) is a well established R&D and engineering centre serving major customers worldwide in Digital Identity and Security domains ranging from mobile connectivity, IoT, banking & payment to government solutions.
The Test Architect will lead the evolution of testing within the eSIM/eSE development teams, driving a shift from manual testing to a robust, efficient, and scalable automation‑first framework. The role has a strong focus on Android phone-side integration, mobile/embedded test benches, and the software layer that interacts with eSIM/eSE components.
This is a technical architecture role requiring the candidate to design, implement, integrate, debug, and demonstrate working device-based automation flows, not only define strategy or documentation. A key responsibility is to ensure a shareable, reusable test ecosystem that serves internal R&D (IVVQ), eTC (embedded Technical Consultants), and FAE (Field Application Engineers) teams supporting customer programs.
