Technical Lead (Firmware/Embedded Software)

Salary: $6,000 – $7,500 per month

Duration: ASAP – 31 Jan 2027
Working Hours: Monday – Friday @ 9am – 6pm
Location: One North

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering team covering hardware and firmware development.

• Plan, manage, and track engineering activities to ensure delivery against agreed project milestones and timelines.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to hardware and firmware engineers throughout the development lifecycle.

• Coordinate the integration of hardware, firmware, and embedded systems to deliver the required PoC.

• Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and development issues.

• Work collaboratively with local and overseas engineering/project teams to ensure technical and project alignment.

• Support technical discussions, design reviews, troubleshooting, and engineering decision-making.

• Establish and maintain appropriate engineering development practices in line with an Agile development environment.

• Where required, support the transition from PoC development towards a release-candidate product, including consideration of EMC/EMI compliance requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience leading or acting as a senior member of multidisciplinary engineering teams, particularly teams involving both hardware and firmware/embedded software engineers.

• Demonstrated experience in coordinating engineering activities and delivering projects against defined schedules and milestones.

• Experience working within an Agile development environment, preferably in projects involving rapid development cycles and short delivery timelines.

• Strong understanding of embedded software/firmware development lifecycles.

• Strong understanding of electronic hardware development lifecycles, from design through prototyping, testing, and validation.

• Ability to work effectively across hardware and software disciplines and facilitate technical collaboration between engineering functions.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical coordination skills.
