Leads the design and implementation of large-scale, complex IM/ICT technical solutions at Queensland Health's eHealth branch, providing expert technical advice and managing a team of specialist technical resources. Day-to-day spans solution design, change management, ICT strategy and information security governance in a healthcare setting.

What you'll do
- Oversee and lead the design and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.
- Specifies and designs large or complex systems and selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures, and ensures effective application.
- Leadership in the development and implementation of information management and ICT strategies, policies and standards.
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of technical specialists and is responsible for the provision of expert advice regarding their application.
- Oversee and lead the assessment, analysis, development, publication, implementation and compliance of all program/project(s) deliverables and related standards and procedures at an enterprise level.
- Lead and manage the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation planning of large complex IM/ICT changes, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations.
- Oversees and manage a team of specialist technical resources.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe, services and workplaces.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated experience leading the design, publication, implementation, compliance, and delivery of technical solutions to industry best practice frameworks for large scale, complex IM/ICT infrastructure delivery program/project(s), preferably in the health care industry. (SFIA Skill: ITMG: Level 6, HSIN: Level 5)
- Demonstrated experience designing large or complex systems and providing expert knowledge in relevant design standards, techniques and methods and tools for large scale complex organisations. (SFIA Skill: DESN: Level 5, METL: 5)
- Demonstrated experience in the assessment, analysis, development, documentation, and implementation planning of changes for large complex IM/ICT program/project(s). (SFIA Skill: CHMG: Level 5)
- Demonstrated excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of technical requirements within a complex IM/ICT environment.
- Demonstrated broad knowledge and understanding of the major trends, strategic directions and legislative and governance frameworks related to information security, with the capacity to successfully adopt them in the healthcare environment.
