A customer-facing technical consultant delivering IT consulting and project services to clients across Perth and Western Australia — designing, implementing, and supporting cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, and modern workplace solutions. Centred on the Microsoft stack (Azure, M365, Entra ID, Intune) plus AWS, VMware, and network security.
About the role:
As part of our expansion into Perth/Western Australia, we are on the look-out for a Technical Consultant.
As a Technical Consultant, you will deliver professional IT consulting and project services across a diverse portfolio of clients throughout Western Australia and Australia.
You will work directly with client stakeholders to design, implement, and support cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, and modern workplace solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will build strong relationships with clients, provide technical guidance, and ensure technology investments deliver meaningful business outcomes.
This is a highly customer-facing and hands-on role requiring regular onsite engagement with clients. You will be responsible for delivering technical projects, assisting with technology roadmaps, conducting environment reviews, and providing expert advice across a broad range of technology solutions.
As part of the Consulting team, you will collaborate closely with Service Delivery, Cyber Security, Engineering, and Software Development teams while contributing to the growth of both existing and new client relationships.
Due to customer requirements applicants must have unrestricted work rights in Australia and be able to meet any client-specific security clearance requirements.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Client Consulting & Relationship Management
Act as a trusted technical advisor and client manager for assigned clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, managers, and key stakeholders.
Conduct onsite client visits, technology reviews, and planning discussions.
Assist clients in navigating an increasingly complex technology landscape, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce risk, and optimise costs.
Manage client expectations for both project and service delivery outcomes.
Identify opportunities for technology improvement and future project engagements.
Technical Design & Delivery
Design and implement cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, and modern workplace solutions, aligned to your skill set and experience
Perform technical design and architecture of IT solutions.
Lead technical project delivery from discovery and planning through implementation and handover.
Produce technical documentation, solution designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
Ensure delivered solutions align with client requirements and industry best practices.
Provide technical escalation support for complex issues and client environments.
Assist clients with business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
Conduct infrastructure and security assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
Assist clients with cloud governance, security, identity, and optimisation strategies.Implement cybersecurity solutions and security remediation activities.

Project Leadership & Team Contribution
Act as senior point of contact for project engagements, and with support from project delivery complete planning, scheduling, stakeholder communication, and technical delivery.
Assist with pre-project discovery, scoping, and effort estimation.
Contribute to consulting methodologies, standards, and best practices.
Share knowledge and mentor other technical team members where appropriate.
Collaborate across all business units to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:
Minimum 5–8 years' experience delivering professional IT services within consulting, managed services, or enterprise environments.
Proven experience working directly with clients.
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Ability to travel regularly throughout Perth and regional Western Australia when required.
