Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland Government client to recruit a Technical Business Analyst. In this role, you will work across both business and technical domains to establish and complete the business, functional, data, integration, and non-functional requirements needed to deliver key products under the Road Safety Systems Program (RSSP), including an Asset Management System (AMS) and Camera Deployment and Scheduling System (CDSS).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and stakeholder agreement of business, functional, data, integration, and non-functional requirements.
Analyse current and future-state asset management processes and develop process models, system context views, information flows, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Define system boundaries and integration requirements between AMS, CDSS, and connected systems, including data content, direction, timing, validation, error handling, APIs, and data flows.
Develop source-to-target mappings, business rules, data definitions, quality rules, and migration requirements from legacy systems.
Identify and resolve requirements gaps, conflicting needs, dependencies, and delivery risks while maintaining end-to-end traceability through to testing and acceptance.
Facilitate technical and business workshops across operational, technical, vendor, and delivery stakeholders to support solution delivery and operational readiness.
About You:
Demonstrated experience as a Technical Business Analyst delivering complex technology projects involving interconnected systems, data, and business processes.
Strong experience defining clear, testable business, functional, data, and integration requirements, including data mapping, validation, and exception handling.
Proven ability to establish requirements in an ambiguous, fast-paced delivery environment and proactively drive consensus across business, technical, and vendor stakeholders.
Highly desirable: Experience in a regulated, safety-critical, or public-sector operational environment (e.g., transport, enforcement, compliance).
Highly desirable: Experience with asset management solutions (e.g., Hardcat), API/interface requirements, data migration from legacy sources, and Agile frameworks.
Role requirement: Flexibility to travel between TMR office locations in Carseldine and Brisbane CBD (Adelaide St / Mary St) as required.
