You'll work closely with Product, Design and Engineering leaders to modernise our platforms, influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and deliver products used by millions of Australians every month. • Partner closely with Product and Design teams to shape roadmaps and translate customer and business needs into technical solutions.

• Guide architecture and engineering decisions across modern web applications, ensuring scalability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.

• Champion engineering best practices across software development, testing, DevOps, security, and observability.

• Stay hands-on where it matters most, coaching engineers and helping solve complex technical challenges.

Ideally you'll have

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams in Agile environments.

• Strong experience building large-scale, customer-facing web applications.

• Deep expertise in modern frontend technologies, particularly React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

• Experience delivering responsive, accessible, and high-performance user experiences.

• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across Product, Design, and Engineering.

• Experience with modern engineering practices including CI/CD, testing, and cloud-native development.

• Exposure to Next.js, Node.js, AWS, microservices, or distributed systems would be highly regarded.
