Team Lead of Data Science & Analytics, Marketing - CRM

Information about the position

Vinted's CRM team under marketing owns the relationship we have with tens of millions of members across our owned channels (email, push, in-app, content cards). Growth doesn't only come from acquiring new members; it also comes from getting existing members to list, buy or return at the right moment, which is what CRM drives.

We're looking for a Team Lead to own CRM's analytics agenda, not just its delivery. The team has built a strong delivery foundation; the next chapter is ownership - setting the agenda rather than responding to it. We want a lead who brings a strategic point of view, challenges what's worth doing, and comes to the business with proactive plans rather than just answers to the questions asked. Your work directly shapes how we grow.

You'll report to the Director of Data Science & Analytics, Marketing, with the Director of CRM as your primary stakeholder.

In this position, you’ll

• Own CRM's analytics agenda: set direction and priorities instead of just delivering requests, and challenge the team and stakeholders on what's worth doing in the first place.
• Set CRM measurement strategy: build a clear, credible approach to measuring the incremental impact of marketing CRM activity.
• Build targeting capabilities: guide the development of predictive models and segmentation to grow and refine addressable audiences.
• Turn insights into action: bring proactive insights and recommendations that shape experimentation and campaign strategy, not just report on what happened.
• Stay hands-on: dedicate around 20-50% of your time to the hardest problems yourself, reviewing analysis quality and unblocking the team.
• Work across teams: act as the connective link between CRM, Member Lifecycle and the other Marketing and Data Science & Analytics teams. Influence through the evidence you bring, shaping their roadmaps and improving common measurement standards.
• Lead the team: manage, mentor and grow a small team of Decision Scientists, covering day-to-day planning, onboarding and career development.

About you

• Strong technical and analytical foundations: solid experience in experimentation and causal inference, test design and segmentation. (at least 4-8 years of analytical experience is expected)
• Enough seniority to hold your own with senior marketing stakeholders and act as a credible sparring partner across the domain.
• Comfortable moving from a delivery mindset to an ownership mindset: proactively spotting what's worth doing, not just executing requests.
• We'd prefer people leadership (PL) experience, though we're open to a strong Individual Contributor moving into a lead role if you already take charge of problems and have credible people skills.
• CRM marketing analytics experience is a strong bonus, not a must. What matters most is being fast and proactive at picking it up if it's new to you.
• Comfortable balancing hands-on analytical work with team leadership.
• Proactive and pragmatic with AI tooling: you've used it to change how analytics work gets done - automating recurring analysis, speeding up exploration, or building agentic workflows that take routine work off the team's plate - while knowing where it genuinely helps and where it doesn't.
• Quantitative background - Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Maths, Computer Science or similar.
• Comfortable enough with our tech stack (Python, SQL, GCP/BigQuery, Looker)
