Role Overview
Let’s be clear: this is not an HR or People role.
This is a talent acquisition role for someone who enjoys hiring at pace, partnering closely with the business, and helping build high-performing teams in a company that is growing quickly. If you are looking for a broader HR path or a role centered on policy, employee relations, or people operations, this will not be the right fit.
At Fresha, we are looking for a Talent Specialist to join our Sydney office and help drive hiring across a business with real momentum, particularly as we continue expanding across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia Pacific region.
This role will suit someone who is energised by a busy hiring environment, comfortable managing multiple priorities at once, and motivated by the chance to make a visible commercial impact.
What You’ll Do
You will work across multiple recruitment priorities at once, partnering with hiring managers to keep processes moving and making good decisions quickly. This is not a slow, heavily layered environment. It is a role for someone who can stay organised, keep momentum, and maintain sound judgement while working at pace.
You can expect to:
- Manage end-to-end hiring across multiple live roles
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand priorities and move searches forward
- Identify and engage strong talent quickly and effectively
- Keep candidate processes moving with pace and professionalism
- Balance urgency with quality, knowing when to move fast and when to go deeper
- Contribute to hiring efforts that support Fresha’s commercial growth across Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific
- Bring market insight, good instincts, and strong execution to every search
- Write and send compelling outreach messages to engage passive candidates
- Screen CVs, conduct intro calls, and assess candidate fit
- Coordinate interviews across multiple time zones and teams
- Maintain and update our ATS (we use Lever) and support scheduling/admin
- Contribute to team projects including employer branding, candidate experience, and hiring events
What We’re Looking For
This role is likely to appeal to someone with a recruitment or talent acquisition background, ideally with experience in an agency or similarly high-output environment.
You will probably enjoy this role if you:
- Are confident managing several searches at the same time
- Know how to build momentum and keep stakeholders aligned
- Are resilient and steady under pressure
- Enjoy working in an environment where priorities can move quickly
- Have strong judgement and are comfortable making decisions
- Like being close to the business and seeing the impact of your work
- Want to be part of a high-performance culture without the politics or unnecessary process
- Experience recruiting internationally
- Exposure to high-growth startups or product-led tech companies
- Hiring across commercial roles
What To Expect From The Environment
We set a high bar, and the pace is real. There will be busy periods, shifting priorities, and times where speed matters. But this is not pressure for the sake of pressure. It is about building well, moving with intent, and hiring the right people to support meaningful growth.
We work closely together in the Sydney office because it helps us move faster, stay aligned, and build stronger working relationships. For the right person, that creates a more connected, energising environment and a much clearer sense of momentum.
What this role is not:
This is not a generalist HR position.
It is not focused on people operations or administration.
It is not a remote role.
It is a hands-on talent role for someone who wants to do high-impact hiring in a company that is scaling and expects strong execution.
What You'll Gain
This is an opportunity to do meaningful work in a business whose product genuinely helps its customers succeed. You will join a team that cares about quality, values pace, and gives talented people the room to make a real contribution.
If you are ambitious, commercially minded, and motivated by building teams in an environment with momentum, this is the kind of role where you can do some of your best work.
- End-to-end recruitment experience in a fast-growing global scale-up
- Broad exposure across multiple functions, markets, and hiring strategies
- A supportive, high-performing team environment with room to grow
- The chance to help shape the hiring function and make a lasting impact
